Song lyrics I haven’t heard in ages that made me cry:
When we woke up this morning,
We had no way of knowing,
That in a matter of hours,
We would change the way we’re going.
(Something Changed - Pulp).
This took me back to the morning when my life changed forever - before my partner had a cardiac arrest, was in a coma for a couple weeks and then never came back round properly and passed away.

I heard this song out of the blue a few weeks ago, took my breath away
I walk along the city streets you used to walk along with me
And every step I take recalls how much in love we used be
Oh how can I forget you
When there is always something there to remind me
It was the Sandie Shaw version and just the bassoon intro had me in tears. I know the whole song is about 2 lovers breaking up but the first verse could easily be about the devastation of losing the love of your life

How poignant. Isn’t it hard, how songs that were just “there” now suddenly have a meaning we sadly now relate too. x
