What a lovely thing to say Jeanette. Thank you. xx
Thank you crazykate. We played that at Steveās funeral as the curtains closed. It was beautiful.
Which song was that Montague? xx
from the very first moment Alan and I heard Morning has Broken by Cat Stevens he said he wanted it played at his funeral , and so he did. itās a beautiful song. even though his all time favourite artist is Sir Rod Stewart. Alan always called him āThe Dudeā.
Remember that song thanks for reminding me
Love Dirty Dancing we went to London for a weekend break & saw the stage show it was brilliant. Have the DVD & CD so maybe watch it so many happy memories.
Alan always called this singer shergal farkey, he was always changing the names of people, and never called anyone by their proper name, even his auntieās dog, who was called Rex, Alan called him Ernie in the end so did everyone else, we both love this song too Thanks for sharing Ian
hope today is an improvement on yesterday and tomorrow is an improvement on today

Hello Jen,
It is good to see you posting again, my late best friend Pam used to change peoplesā names. For instance our chiropodist became Michael Foot. Pam had a friend and neighbour who she used to call Barbara Big Knickers, I did laugh at her, Barbara once told her that she preferred big knickers, much more comfortable to the small scrap of pants which would stretch at the sight of an iron.
Take care
Mary x x
thank you Mary, going through some very tough times at present, even without this lockdown and virus. Iāve only been on the forum a couple of times since February but wasnāt in the frame of mind to reply to any posts, not sure if i am even now although, must be to some extent, as Iām replying to you.
how are you coping with all this, i know you are already confined to barracks without the lockdown as was i for a few weeks too, obviously mine confinement wasnāt as permanent as yours. hope youāre able to obtain all the supplies you need and are keeping your spirits up, emotional, alcoholic sort , esoteric, the lot.
hope today is an improvement on yesterday and tomorrow is an improvement on today
