A new year has started and more then likely 90%+ of people reading this have lost someone extremely important in their lives, many of you probably sobbed your hearts out hearing the fireworks and people screaming happy new year… Looking across the room to see the spot a husband should be a wife should be a child should be. I remember that moment, although lucky for me I had someone from Sue ryder on the other end of messages helping me through it. We definitely all need that someone special by our sides, someone like us all that has lost someone so understands the pain and grief.
I won’t wish anyone of you a happy New year but I will wish you all strength to get through each and everyday… One day at a time… Goodluck to you all on your journeys through the darkness and remember to reach out the best you can in this community as we’re all one family of damaged souls.

Sending everyone strength and love on new years day and going forward 
I lost my husband a month before Christmas five years ago and remember how raw and hard it was getting through Christmas and New Year.
I thought I couldn’t go on, life was over.
But this site has been a life saver for me, it definitely helps talking with people who know exactly what you’re going through. I would’ve been lost without it.
And lost without the people I’ve connected with, and have been there for me.
Keep messaging , keep connected, I know I couldn’t of got through the worst time of my life without you all.
