Sunday

Hello everyone,

I know Sunday is a challenging and sad day for many of us.

I will be lighting the candles later today.

Thinking of you and sending love and hugs,

Morning Rose,

I hope your Sunday is as good as it can be.
I’m just contemplating what to do today.

My daughter has just made some pain au chocolate ( from a box) and they smell very nice.
Need to get some motivation and take the dog out but struggling with that today.

Have you anything planned for today ?

Take care xx

My mum died 24 Sundays ago. Sundays are quiet days so it always brings it back even more. Xx

Hello @roni52 ,

pain au chocolat sounds very good!

It is a very rainy day here. It must be wet as the younger cat has come in.

Only very rainy or cold days get him in.

It is nice to have him in the living room with me.
I got up to make a mug of tea and came back and he was sitting where I had been sitting :heart_eyes_cat::heart_eyes_cat:

Yesterday , I had thought of going out for a bit of shopping today but if the rain continues then I will stay in.

So it could well be housework :unamused: and tidying up.

Big hug xx

Happy Sunday to you Rose
I’m relatively new here….having lost my husband three weeks ago next Tuesday…
I find your posts so positive and comforting and love reading them. Hope you enjoy your Sunday with your much loved cats……and the rain holds off ….shopping sounds a better option than housework!:pray:

Hi Lisa,

you are very kind.

Yes, I adore the cats, my husband did as well.

They have helped me (and worried me) over the last 27 weeks.

The people on here have greatly helped as well.

To talk with people who understand, who are so kind and supportive has been just what I need.

I sense, like me, you are not a fan of housework!

It has stopped raining but is still very overcast.

Love and hugs,

Rose xx

Hi, I’ve just made it. Sunday
I’ve had a rather up and down day.
Started with a thunderbolt at 2 in the morning
It blew up my tv and knocked out my boiler.
Spent all day sorting things out.
Only came back from holiday yesterday
What a welcome home!!
Did get to Church this morning,
And my daughters for dinner so it wasn’t all bad

Love and hugs to everyone
Speak next Sunday

Welcome home!
What is it about Sundays? I had a power cut a couple of Sundays ago. Like you, spent all day trying to sort it out.
I am glad you managed a holiday, shame it was a rude welcome home.
I have been to bed once, can’t sleep, so got up again. My daughter is at the Respite Centre, I am just not used to an empty house.

Wow that certainly is some welcome home !!
I hope you are ok - must have been a real shock ( hopefully not literally for you? )

Glad you have had some positives today and sounds like you coped well - not sure what I would have done in that situation.

Hope you have a good week now you’re home, and it’s not too tricky slotting back into everyday living again.

I was absolutely terrified
I was in bits all night.
The thunderbolt left a a very large hole in my neighbours roof :flushed:

I coped I suppose but in the middle of the night I was scared, crying, alone and feeling useless.

I think I cried the rest of the night.

I’m catching up with Emmerdale

Your poor neighbour. Very scary.
Anyone would be terrified so don’t you feel bad about that.
I’m also not sure what this sleep thing is folk talk about ???
Must be something I did when I was younger - oh and still married.

Sleep? Married?
I remember that.
Can’t manage either of those tonight.
