Hello,
I lost my husband 4 weeks ago, I would like to know if there are any Support Groups in Morpeth where I could attend in person.
Thank you.
Hello dahlia1
I’m part of the Online Community team and I can see that you are new to the community. I’m so sorry to hear about your husband. Most community members have sadly experienced the death of a loved one and so will understand some of what you are going through.
I’m sure someone will be along to offer their support. In the meantime, you may wish to look at these Sue Ryder resources which might be helpful.
- Our Grief Guide self-help platform which has information, resources and advice to help you through your grief
- Our Grief Coach text service, which sends you personalised text support via SMS
- Our free Online Bereavement Counselling which is held via video chat
- Our Bereavement Information pages which can walk you through what you are going through.
You might also want to look at the local support list at How do I find help near me? – The Good Grief Trust for in person support groups.
I really hope you find the community helpful and a good source of support and I also hope you feel you can access more support should you need it.
Thank you again for sharing – please keep reaching out and know that you are not alone.
Take care,
Rhi
I am a long way from Morpeth. But I do agree with you that meeting people in the same situation would be helpful.
I live in Bedfordshire.cx
Hi @dahlia1,
If you search for A New Chapter NE on Facebook, which is a widow/widower’s support group based up here, they have a meet-up most Mondays, I think.
Take care…Pete

Hello @Shirl55,
We have a Grief Kind Space in Milton Keynes.
Here are the details:
Bedfordshire: Milton Ernest
Milton Ernest Garden Centre
Radwell Road
Milton Ernest
MK44 1SH
Thursdays, 10.00am - midday
Our Grief Kind Spaces are weekly, in-person drop-in sessions held in the local community and run by trained volunteers. The sessions provide a safe, informal and supportive place for people to come together and share their experiences of grief, helping attendees to feel heard and less alone. You can find out more about our Grief Kind Spaces on our website.
I hope that this is helpful
