That’s so lovely. I had a tattoo done and think of him whenever I see it.

Dear @Annaessex
Bless you. What a beautiful photo of your Philmore.
I love reading all the different things we do to keep memories alive and to bring us comfort.
I still wear my husbands clothes, and have worn something of his every single day since the day he died.
And for his ‘heavenly’ birthday last year I bought him a Southampton football shirt with his name on.

Love, hugs and strength to you

That’s a nice photo and will look good on t shirt.

I had a pillow and throw blanket of my partner, that resides permanently on her side of the bed

I have a necklace with my husband’s fingerprint on.
They asked me when he was in his funeral home if I wanted them to take his fingerprints , and also if I wanted a bit of his hair.
The fingerprint can then used to imprint on different jewellery items.
I have a necklace, the imprint is on a leaf shape pendant ( I thought it looked like a teardrop) and I also have it on a keyring fob with my car keys.
It’s so tactile. And when I hold it in my fingers, it feels like we are touching hands.

His lock of hair I have in a box , with a piece of our puppies hair. My husband and our puppy only had 12 days together at home, before he died.
So in the box is my husband’s last haircut and the puppies first.

Love hugs and strength to you all

I also took some of her hair and mixed it with some of her ashes and put it onto a urn bracelet I always.
Never thought about her fingerprint :pensive: that’s a good idea. Too late now unfortunately

Hi @Cathphil that’s beautiful , I didn’t know you could get fingerprint of your loved one till a long time after he died. I really think all undertakers should mention it to us bereaved . I would of loved to have had something like that . . … something to cherish forever. :heavy_heart_exclamation: … Sending hugs x

I agree with you, all funeral directors should let you know this.
I’m so grateful to mine (Co op)
And in my case it was done with so much respect. The only thing maybe a few days too late, as the longer you wait to do it, the less good the imprint.

I also have the card they used with all his fingerprints on. The Jewellers then suggest which one will give the best impression on the jewellery.
And the funeral directors keep a digital copy in their records. So if I ever lost the necklace, it can easily be replaced.
Which is a real comfort too, and why I’m happy to wear it at all times .

Love , hugs and strength to you
( Just seen the time…I need to go to work! )
