I swear it exists!
As it’s getting cold I decided to turn up the heating. Easier said than done. In my daughter’s bedroom my husband had just changed the electric panel heater to an infrared panel with a wireless remote control. The control panel is dead. We had a power cut a couple of weeks ago and have not needed heating since, so I hadn’t noticed. There are no switches or buttons anywhere on the panel heater, the control is touchscreen and there is bugger all I can press. I tried the old turning it off and back on again trick to no avail.
I am so fed up of things going wrong.

After John died - and on the coldest day - I discovered our electric radiators could only be turned on via an app. On his locked, passworded, unhackable iPad. All his passwords were in his head. I had to get an IT friend in to download the programme for me. Could it be a similar thing?

I have been fiddling with it all day. My electrician nephew is going to come and have a look at it tomorrow. It is so frustrating when things go wrong and I don’t have a clue how to sort them out. Everything is so much more complicated. Give me old fashioned knobs and switches that you can see and operate. Touchscreens are no use if they are blank.
