My dearest friend who died eliminated his background I know his parents are dead but I would love to know his background or some of it but have very little to go on and wouldnt know where to start any ideas?

There are lots of sites that help with this - Ancestry.com is one. If you have your friend’s birth certificate you can find his parents and any siblings he may have had. You can also find out where they lived via online electoral rolls. The best thing us to enquire at the local library who will be able to help you
