Hi Tykey,
I looked on the map and if you travel from Felinheli ot the Menai Straits area heading on the A 5025 to the north of Anglesey there are many small roads that lead off to the coast and several small beaches. Well worth turning off the main road and finding them. I can’t remember all their names as I found them by exploring the area. In the north of Anglesey there is a lovely beach called Cemaes Bay which is worth visiting.
Have a great time
Deborah
Thanks Deborah. I shall enjoy exploring every nook and cranny, and smile at every new discovery. Especially when I find the brewery which makes beer from seaweed:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
We used to keep a caravan on Anglesey, and when Penny died, I had to go and fetch it home. They were the most difficult emotional days I’ve ever experienced ! I can’t believe how, three years later, I can actually be going again, looking forward to revisiting the hundreds of happy memories waiting for me.
I only hope that this provides some optimism to all our friends on here, that grief abates, and a worthwhile life still awaits us. Be patient, positive and optimistic, and grasp it when you finally see it.
We very often used to get down to your neck of the woods, staying in a farm cottage near Newcastle Emlyn. They now also have a Shepherds hut. I love the area, again lots of coast to explore, and lots of local cheeses to try. Maybe next year!
Hi Tykey,
Aww you have such lovely memories of Angelsey.
I took my mum on a 20 day road trip to north Wales just 3 weeks before she started to be ill. We stayed at different places and the whole north Wales area has a very special place in my heart. It will be emotional for you but comforting also
I know Newcastle Emlyn well. My dad was from Llandysul which is very near there.
We live in Haverfordwest so it’s further south but not far.
Plenty of lovely places to visit down this way so you must add it to your travel agenda.
Have a great time away
Deborah
