Twice married twice widowed

Where to start, 1981 married David 1991 widowed. He went to work and had a heart attack, i never saw him alive again, I was 35 and a widow, no children i worked, had a good circle of friends and joined amateur dramatics, slowly i came through the fog and my life turned around when i met and married David ( number 2) in May 1993 we were married 31 years he passed away November 10th 2024, no children just each other, now im lost, im 3 yrs retired and life is very different to when i was 35, all the emotions has come flooding back with vengeance, guilt, worry, anger, and i am so tired. Then i have a day whereby i feel nothing i am just existing. Each day is different and yet the same. I have a 13 year old 1 eyed diabetic dog who gives me a routine and purpose and for that i am thankful for without him i would not get up in the morning and go to the park. I have not done much sorting out, i cannot face it, thats going to take time.

@Sussexlass I’m so sorry for your losses. I’m only 10 weeks into this journey so I don’t have a lot of advice I’m afraid, still searching for answers myself. I’m just literally taking 1 day at a time, I give myself one task to do each day, sometimes it gets done, sometimes more gets done and sometimes nothing. Baby steps each day x. Do you have any hobbies, gardening etc, I find getting outside, even if only for a short while, helps. Do you have friends for support? Reach out on here whenever you need to and take care of yourself x

Thank you AlllH for you kind message, i am sorry to hear of your loss , everything is raw its hard for us, I too give myself a job to do and like you somedays it does not get done. Yes i have a few close friends who look out for me which i appreciate. I have not been back to Tai Chi yet, i have broken the ice. We visited a favourite park today a 1st i went with a friend for support.
Look after yourself , im happy to chat with you anytime.

@Sussexlass ah thank you, I’m so glad you have support and I hope you enjoyed your time out today. I love Tai Chi, I’m also doing yoga which I think helps my mental attitude. Take care x
