I thought i was moving forward following the death of my husband in February, but feel like i am back at the start again following the death of my dad this last week.
Hello @Trish17 ,
I can see that you’re new to the community, so I wanted to say that I am so sorry for the loss of your husband and dad that brings you here.
I’m sure someone will be along to offer their support, but I wanted to share a few Sue Ryder resources with you that may help right now.
- Our Grief Guide self-help platform which has information, resources and advice to help you through your grief
- Our Grief Coach text service, which sends you personalised text support via SMS
- Our free Online Bereavement Counselling which is held via video chat
- Our Bereavement Information pages which can walk you through what you are going through.
Thank you again for sharing – please keep reaching out and know that you are not alone.
Take care,
Alex
Oh @Trish17 I’m so sorry you find yourself here and for the loss of both your husband and father.
That is a lot to manage in such a short time.
Just take a day at a time and be kind to yourself. Don’t expect too much of yourself and lean on those people around you if you can.
And keep posting here if it helps - there is a huge community who can support and listen to you when you need it the most.
Take care xx
I am so sorry that you have suffered the death of 2 loved ones in a year. Unimaginable. It is a set back and you do have to start all over in grieving for you dad. You will make it to the other side, it won’t be easy and it won’t be quick, but you will make it. I am pulling for you. Peace.
