Up and down

Earlier this week i really felt i was moving forward then i heard my daughter had lost her job and it looks like i need a new roof. I find these things just send me right back down again. Now I’m struggling to cope. One of the worst things is when you have no-one there to talk things through with. Does anyone else get like this

Yes i feel the same. Not being able to talk things through with our loved ones or maybe with a reassuring hug is so so sad. We used to ride the storms together. I have friends and family but its not the same. Will pray your daughter will get another job soon and your roof is fixed. Xxx

Yes…
Had to take my car to the garage. Hadn’t a clue what they were talking about, and to be fair, Nigel wouldn’t have either but at least I’d have had someone to talk it over with…
Same with the building work that needs doing…
My pension…
All the ordinary day to day stuff…

Yes. I’ve got a leak in part of the house, and a builder is coming to look at it next week. He’s reputable, but even so I’m nervous; John would have known instantly what needed doing, and how. I don’t have anyone to advise me, and am scared of telling him to go ahead when I don’t know if what he recommends is right or not. It’s all so tiring.

Catrin1 Try and get another builder to look as well and then you can compare notes or ask for recommendations on Facebook. Its still difficult when you are unsure about things
