My wife passed away suddenly nearly 3 weeks ago. The policewoman who sat with me while waiting for the death to be certified just called round. She said she’d noticed I liked reading and had bought me a book. How nice was that

The day after my wife died there was a delivery from Amazon. As she couldn’t get out independently she’d ordered my presents online. Including the same Richard Osman book the policewoman bought me. I’ve started reading my wife’s copy and will make sure the other finds a good home.As they say it’s the thought that counts and that policewoman was very kind.

My wonderful husband was a police man for 26yrs. I miss him terribly after he died suddenly and unexpectedly 2 and half years ago. He was such a kind person, in and out of the job.
