Walk to Remember this October

Hello everyone,

At Sue Ryder, we know how important it is to celebrate cherished moments and join with others in memory of our loved ones. So I wanted to let you know about a new event we’re launching, called Walk to Remember, taking place in October (some of you may have already received an email about this).

Sue Ryder's Walk to Remember will see people across the country choose a route to walk with family and friends while sharing and celebrating memories of their loved ones, to help raise vital funds for bereavement support.

Perhaps there’s a local footpath or place that was special to your loved one, where you could gather with friends and family. Or maybe your loved one really enjoyed spending time in the forest or near a river. Where you walk is your choice and so is when you walk. Our official walk day is on Saturday 17th October, but you can join in on any day throughout the month.

Entry for the event is free, but it’s your fundraising and donations that will make all the difference to people facing the loss of a loved one. For example, raising £85 as a team or family could help us continue providing our Online Bereavement Community as a safe and supportive space, open 24/7. Or a £20 donation could go towards providing a week of specialist training for a counsellor joining our Online Bereavement Counselling Service.
