Was scrolling through the films to watch this evening and happened upon the film “P.S. I Love You” - I didn’t read the profile properly, just saw the word ‘comedy’ - so pressed play.
Totally unexpected plot line (cos I didn’t read the profile!) about a woman who’s husband dies, but sets up a series of letters for her to receive in the period following his funeral.
It’s more than two years since my partner passed, so time has changed my grief and knocked a few of the edges off - but this film cut right through and brought out so many emotions. I never got to say goodbye to my partner, and miss so much just a simple touch or hug and this film really made me think about those things again.
Whatever you say about grief, it’s true that maybe it changes with time, but it never goes away.
