What’s for dinner tonight?

I had intended to clean all my floors today, but the cleaning machine needs to be charged up. So, while I am waiting I decided to defrost the freezer. I found some vintage frozen chicken, so now I am making chicken curry for dinner tonight. This will be followed by Chocolate Surprise, which is yet more of the chocolate cake, it will be hidden by some vanilla ice cream that I also found lurking at the bottom of the freezer.
I found some frozen lemon slices. Sadly, this means I feel obliged to spend the evening drinking gin. It would be rude not to?
When life gives you lemons, drink gin.

I am sure many of us faced the distressing problem of a freezer full of things packaged for 2. Now there is nothing left in the freezer that isn’t in a single portion. Your dinner sounds lovely.
Keep forgetting to repackage the sausages so sausage and beans tonight and sausage sandwich for lunch tomorrow.
Isn’t defrosting the freezer a horrible task.

You can make vodka from pretty much anything. Cereal, potatoes, anything but chocolate cake.

My freezer needs defrosting. But it is a huge chest freezer. I don’t know what to do with the frozen food to stop it defrosting while I tackle it. I have got some bags that you put froze food in and sone ice packs.
But more food than would fit in it. Any ideas?

Any you can borrow from neighbours? Or have they got space for a short time? Wait till it’s cold enough you can put food outside and it not defrost? Way it is going could be tomorrow.

Put it all in a pile in the middle of the floor, ice cream and bread at the bottom, plus anything else that defrosts quickly. Cover the whole lot with a duvet or two. It will stay frozen long enough to defrost the freezer. Xx

I think that vodka is just ethanol and water. Ethanol can be made from almost anything. Gin is just vodka with botanicals added.
But chocolate cake is far more complex.
