As you know i lost my partner in August 29th . Now i thought I was coping but it hit me last night, once probate is sorted the house will go up for sale and i will have to look for a place to live. Then last night another issue came in . My partners eldest son so on about taking the two dogs of me . So the means, i lost the love of my life my soulmate and the home ive lived in for 14 years and not hes going to take the dogs of me . Whats the point of carry on.

That’s a lot of change Ricky68 it’s no wonder you feel like that. Talk to your loved one, imagine what they would want you to do if they could answer you…they might say, it’s ok, you can do this, it will work itself out. Look after yourself.

It’s a lot of loss. You will be okay. You will find a lovely place to live, a lovely puppy will fall into your lap and you will leave the past behind in all but your memories. No things matter. Start looking for your nest, figure out what furnishings you need and what can go. Purge, purge, purge now so you won’t be rushed by a quick sale. My BFF lost her husband in May, her home and everything she owned to a hurricane in August, her dog in October and her father in December. She was sidelined for about 3 years, but now, she has a new love, living in a high rise with him and her dog after retiring from a second career. There is an ACT III to every play. Peace.
