Sadly had to say farewell to my beloved dog Max yesterday, I’m heartbroken. How much pain and sorrow can one man take? Losing my wife last year, getting told I have cancer the same day and now this. Max gave me so much comfort when Lynne sadly passed and to see my house totally empty now is soul destroying.

Hi. So sorry of the loss of your dog . You must feel devastated and even more alone now . Thinking of you sending a virtual hug xtake carex
Thank You, hug well received x
Hello,
I’m so sorry for the loss of Max, I think our pets become so much more important after we’ve lost our spouse, we rely on them, so to lose them too is a kick in the teeth.
However how lovely for your Lynne, there back together again & you won’t have to worry about what would happen to Max if you went before him.
You will miss Max dreadfully though but in time you will get comfort from the memories & the fact that he is now with Lynne.
So Sorry for your loss Max looks like he lived a long and happy life.
God Bless xxx

I am so sorry you have also lost your beloved Max. Only other animal owners will understand just how devastating it is to lose them. They prop us up and love us when we need them the most and I really feel for you and your loss.
Perhaps when you feel ready you could adopt a rescue dog who will need you as much as you will need it. We might save them but they certainly save us a million times over. My life would be nothing without by furry therapists…

So sorry for the loss of your wife and pet. I have been through this myself last year. In August we lost our 13 year old Border Collie Bess who had gone off her legs completely, sadly we had to have her put to sleep. Then in December my husband suddenly passed away at home, as if that wasn’t enough my little Jack Russell Gabby was found to have a tumour on her ovary and needed an emergency operation. As she had not long finished a season it was going to be dangerous, she might not survive the operation or if I delayed it she may not survive anyway. I came home from the vets and sobbed my heart out. How could life be so cruel, I couldn’t take much more. The last 12 months have been unbearable. Luckily she came through ok and I wouldn’t be without her, she is my reason for getting up in the morning.
Take care, we are thinking of you
