Winter fuel allowance

If people with certain chronic health issues were classed as vulnerable during the pandemicand given free food and other things

Why will they not be classed as more vulnerable in the winter, because many people with cancer and other chronic illnesses, surely they will need to keep warm or their health will deteriorate?
I reialise that not everyone will miss the winter fuel allowances, but many thousands will. People keep talking about pensioners, having to decide , between being able to eat or eat!! This will happen 10 fold…

Yes I keep thinking about that. Keep wondering how it will get for those who just over the minimum and miss by a whisker to get it.
Will people rally around?
A neighbour of mine gave me an electric over blanket throw last winter when my boiler packed up.
So I could put it around to keep warm. Why not issue them free?

I think that there will be lots of deaths from cold , because people wont either eat ot put heating on

I can manage as i have enough income, because of my military pensions. I will also be working in a christmas grotto again and probably earm morn than the winter fuel allowance. I am just waiting to see what else this mob will take away from pensioners. They should take it from the rich especially those with yachts and getting millions,in bonuses.
.butvthey wont theyve too afraid, of losing donations to their parties ? Cheers my dears, i am going of line for a while, as i dont want lots of replies about this subjects.
Besides some of the snowflake managers will try to censor my views and i didnt serve my country to be censored. Cheers my dears

The rich move away

Yes they will do.
I visited monte carlo a few years ago. And utcwas the boats show ,the harbour was full of yachts in the harbour, valued at 10 of millions of pounds
We were told by the guide, that people dont pay taxes because the casino raises enough to cover things. She further told us thatcflats are rented out @ 80.000€ a month.
Its time the … mps got their snouts out of the greed trough. Scumbags.
The need to stop calling each oth my honourable friend, as many of them omare not honourable or friends ?

Yes visited that place when I was young
were camping then

i have never had the desire to visit the house of comedy , as its full of people that i wouldnt want to mix with, man y wkithout morals, hence several being imprisoned for fraud including the towns ex m.p.
thre current m.p got the job because of his allegance to Starmers mob.

he was a major in the parachute regiment and resigned the day after he was promised a safe seat, he was not born in our town and was not even a yorkshire man. there are several other things about him i dislike, basically he has recently voted for sever pensioners to ;ose our winter fuel payment, this can affect some people mental health, possibly leading to the killing themselves.
many years ago he voted against over 60s retaining free train travel in west and south yorkshire, yet he expects to keep being re-elected. ?
he must be earning close to £ 250 .000 a year with his m.ps salary . army pension and whatever he can get through sponsorship. so how can he understand normal peoples financial situations. or social ones. i wonder if he has shares in an undertakers ?
cheers my dears

i am sorry if it looks as though i am messing about, but the site would not let me send my message and kept saying error 500, i assume it meant that i have written too much or its the admins way of controlling what i write ?

Hi @mrchipps1,

It sounds like there was a technical glitch as your post posted 4 times so I deleted 3 of them. If you scroll up a bit you can see your post

Thanks for explaining

Sadly some site members seem to appreciate how i express myself and arent happy when i say that im taking time off the site.
The main reasons isay this is because i have been bereaved a long time and what aome members write about i have been through and reDing their posts brings it back to me and hurts emotionally.
For example i lost my wife to cancer, my son took his own life age 27, my grandaughter was born after 20 weeks gestation and died age 50 minutes.
Several of my siblings have had smoking related deaths.

In future if anyone contacts me after i say that im taking time away i will completely ignore them or delete them from my inbox i sometimes need my own space.

It’s a rotten policy. It only goes to show how little the government cares about it’s citizens, particularly those whose ancestors lived in the UK when records began, and pensioners :broken_heart:.

I havent believed any government cared aboutvthe inhabitants sincex1973m4 when i was a,serving soldier, wgen the nation got pay risebut not the military if a member of the nilitary gets injured or killed they do everything they can otvto pay compensation.
Now theyre robbing pensioners .what next putting double v a t on funerals, or stopping the 25% council tax reduction.or giving starmers red brigade a massive pay rises his chief advisor gets paid more than he is paid
Its the same on my red brigade council
Whon ignore every protest or complaint the people make… i expect a great many more deaths under this government !!!

all i get is 187 a week pension credit, i dont get state pension and i can afford my heating in the winter and i only have electric fires, comes to 90 a week in winter. and in summer i still pay 60 a week to keep it topped up, i am now £700 in credit. i have an electric card that i pay every week at payzone. i can also afford my food out of my money each week. if you budget your money its easy

That certainly will not be the Government with the perks they get, even heating allowance for their second homes. I wonder if they will be there when people will be over crowding the a&e departments during the winter.

This government doesn’t care if elderly people die from no heating and no food. As long as they are ok it’s a case of I’m alright jack.

The next thing could be bus passes . The elderly uses the passes for hospital appointments etc . So if they do that , there would be even more longer wait for transport to and from hospitals.
