If you are still worrying about how to get through Xmas Day, this might be of interest. Organised for people who are alone, but don’t want to be

I’ll be hiking in the Peak District, but I’ll be on my own, except for my two dogs.
It references other hikes they organise, such as Snowdonia, but maybe others organize hikes local to you.

@LynT. Probably not the best time to take a diversion to the top of Haystacks, but just the thought of it is nice.
