Your Song

Hello everyone, I’m relatively new here, and one way I’ve been working through my grief is by utilizing AI to write music and express my feelings… I was hoping some of you might be willing to share some of your poetry with me that I can use them to write more songs… it would be yours to keep once I was done. I just love doing it… so by creating a song for you… you would be helping me as well. If you want to hear an example of one of the songs I created, here’s one I created in memory of my late boyfriend.

For Fred

Post your poems here… and I’ll reply back to you with your song… This is of course free - like I said earlier - Its a win-win for me and all who want to share some with me… :hugs:

@Tammy25 did this for me and I truly love my song. It’s such a kind thing to do, Tammy, thank you. xxx

A challenge for you  I was going to put ths to music, but interested in a different perspective.

It’s called ‘This is the Place’

This is the place where I first fell in love with Jackie,
When the world was wide and the days were long.
She smiled, Miss Rogerstone, in 1965
And handed me Smarties, the sweetest prize of all,
While the band played on in the old church hall.

This is the place where she stood so still,
At the back of the hall, with her reel-to-reel
Saturday, October, '66 winds blowing through,
Her eyes on the music, her heart full of truth.
The tape spun gently, like the days we knew.

This is the place where we pledged our lives,
In September’s sun, as husband and wife.
The bells rang out, the choir sang clear,
Every word a promise, every step sincere.
We danced into forever from right here.

This is the place where she now rests deep,
Where the yew trees sigh and the willows weep.
Beneath this earth, so soft, so kind,
She waits with peace, and love still shines.
This is her silence, her soul’s design.

This is the place where I’ll one day lie,
Beneath the same sky, where larks still fly.
Until that time, I walk our lane,
Each step a memory, joy and pain
And whisper her name in the morning rain.

I love you, Jackie. Always and forever.
This is the place where we began.
And this is the place we will meet again.

when song is playing, look up in the upper right hand corner, you’ll see log in and sign up but to the left of those buttons, you’ll see an arrow to download. a window will pop up and tell you that you have to log in or sign up, but there’s another option underneath that that says download only… you can hit that and it should download for you.

Downloaded them now. Thanks Tammy. Listened to clips of them, but will listen to them better tomorrow as I have visitors today and have to go shopping.

You take care

I quite like the Country & Western one. I’m not sure about the other one that has a female voice start.

I’ll do a couple of videos, like the one with my EDM version, but with your audio. It’ll take me time to do them as I have a busy week coming up

@Tammy25 Having listened to them a few times, I prefer the Rock Ballad one. Just done another version of my video. I like arrangement of having the last 3 lines as a chorus. Thanks

Wow such a lovely idea: this is a poem i wrote for my best friends funeral ( 1 week ago today) :broken_heart:

Our dear Nicholas
What can I say
We are all here to celebrate your life today

A life lost too young
Broken hearts left behind
Let’s talk about you
You truly were one of a kind

A son, brother, nephew
Cousin, grandson & friend too
We were beyond lucky
To have known you

You brought a special aura
Everywhere you went
Cup half full and positive
Time with you was sunshine & well spent

A unique laugh that echoed
It was a beautiful sound
An unconscious comedian
You turned any day around

You adored your family
That always shone through
You meant the world to them
And they meant the world to you

The most gorgeous face and smile
How handsome were you?
With an even better character
You were too good to be true

You studied to help others
We are not surprised
You made others lives better
An angel in disguise

May you rest in peace our dear Nicholas
Until we meet again
Thank you for being you
An amazing person, family member and friend

Thank you xxx
