Yes meeting someone does just happen or not when you are not expecting it.
I went to a senior community lunch alone.
It was tough at first. Didn’t fit in but stuck it out. Then an old man with only a few months to live joined and was sitting next to me. He bought his friend and he was a nice widower as well. Last time his friend came alone as other man had died. Funeral today but can’t attend because it clashes with day out out with my family. Well I hope his friend goes again on his own to the lunch club and tells me all about it. Hope that he is wrong and that his fears of having another heart attack are wrong.
I really enjoy his company. But I have learnt that is all I can expect. It would be nice if can have some company for a little while. Last time he said he felt it was easy to talk to me. I felt more confident hearing that.
I met a nice lady at church who was so kind. I miss my husband but it is nice to chat to others in the same boat in reality.
