Hello Siobhan
Sorry you are not well and really down.
I have had mouth ulcers a few times and they
Are very painful.
I tried Bonjela to rub on and it really helped.

Hi Doreen,

I have some bonjela left as I have had them before. I am not sure if it’s acid reflux (which I had years ago) or if it’s a side effect of duloxetine or just a virus. I had been to the nurse last Thursday. Felt better Friday and did some errands but then felt bad again Saturday. Not great this weekend. Kind of feeling better but hard to tell

Thanks

I have had 2 back to back colds in the 3 months since R passed. The first one cleared up. Within 2 days I had a sore throat and dreadful cold again. Again my cold started to improve and yet another sore throat. I think my immune system has deserted me. Take care, hope you feel well soon

Hi Siobhan.
You really must rest. You cannot underestimate the effect grief has on your immune system. I haven’t been fully well since he died. Tummy problems. Vitamin deficiency. Covid. Colds. Arthritic flare up is the worst as it really affected my mobility. Still recovering with physio. By end of day my knees are giving up the ghost. Ibuprofen only has a limited effect.
All of you please rest when you can and look after yourselves.
Xx

Thanks Sandra and Maria,

I have been signed off work. I had alot of stress the first couple of weeks with probate and changing cars. So I figured that’s why I got sick. But I will just keep resting.

Love to all. Grief certainly takes a toll emotionally and physically.

The additional stress of the sadmin alongside grief takes a terrible toll. I am hoping that’s what showed up on my ecg in December. I read that grief can cause temporary heart problems.

How did you cope? Are you retired or like me still working. It’s so frustrating because I am doing all the right things but it doesn’t seem to be shifting this week.

Sandra I can’t believe grief can cause heart problems but I guess it’s not surprising.

Take care all

Hi Sandra
You are quite right the stress of grief along with
All the admin is just unbearable.
I Had no idea what I had to deal with Sam never
Mentioned it.
I don’t suppose he really knew it either or he would have gone over it with me.
He handled absolutely everything financial
Banking organising for work men etc.
I had to sell his almost new car and as I saw it drive off with his private plate I just about
Collapsed.
His plate actually said SAM and he had it 43 years.Taking his name off bank accounts etc
Was like brushing him out of my life.
Stupid people on the phone for hours no one
Ringing back and having to go over and over
Everything.
Stress and grief has a massive effect on health
Mood and the ability to cope
Only people like us know.
Love Doreen xx

It’s called broken heart syndrome.
