It’s impossible to sleep in hospital. The first ward I was put in had a lady with dementia. Some idiot had given her a phone. She kept calling the nurses all night convinced it wasn’t charging or working. Then tried to contact her daughter at 1 a.m. no sleep for any of us that night as she shouted for the nurses and wouldn’t use the buzzer.
Sounds like a carry on film.
I have not slept since I got here except for an hour at 8. Strange thing is the man speaks on English but shouts in Italian.
I wish I could record it.
It could only happen to you,put the loons in with Jane she will sort them out.Xxx
Night night Liz sleep well, talk tomorrow.xx
Jane you need your sleep but I agree it’s almost impossible to get any sleep in hospital. I spent 5 days sleeping on a hospital chair next to my husbands bed before he was moved to the hospice. I was so cold and I hardly slept at all. Beds and patients being moved in the night. Constant checks and snoring. People shouting. Bet you can’t wait to get home.
Night night Liz. Hope you sleep well.
Love Lucy x
Time for me to head to bed, I have a counselling session tomorrow morning
Night night Waltons. Xx
We don’t get people running around on my ward but sometimes when the moon is full, we do get some patients acting a little out of sorts, so to speak.
All in a days work, really.
Some hospitals do have side room willow 112. Maybe you could ask.
Hope you get some sleep.
Nicky
Night night love talk tomorrow.
Me too I am here for every one
These dark nights are a bit grim.
We are all together so we must all hang on in there
Lots of love to all Doreen xx
So is Ron now Ron-Boy Walton?
Hi Hugh
Welcome to our group.
You will get lots of support from all of us.
So sorry for your loss.
It is really hard to cope when you feel so alone and lost, keep posting .
Love and comfort Doreen xx
Don’t the meds put you out? I was on oramorph and nefopam and even a naked fit male nurse pole-dancing on the bed wouldn’t have woken me.
It was 3 months last wednesday. We were friends from 11 years old. Lived together for nearly 40 years. He was only 61. A very kind, thoughtful, funny man. He was liked by everyone. I will never stop missing my lovely man.
Maria
Hello Maria
Me and my Sam had 43 years together.
Married for 40 years.
Lovely clever and blue eyed blonde.
Generous and kind.
If I could go back to 40 years when we were hard up and struggling.
It felt like we had nothing much.
As the years went by and we had more of every thing I know now then we had every thing.
I would go back in a nano second.
Lots of love Doreen xx
Jane
Hope by the time you read this you have gotten some sleep. Hospitals are no place to recover. My husband rarely slept well when he was in the hospital. If it wasn’t the other patients it was staff waking him to do observations etc
Relate to what everyone is saying about missing their loved ones. Finally feeling much better but not there yet. But really miss my husband making me laugh. Actually just miss his presence.
Btw my friends grandson surgery went well. Won’t know if its cancer til tomorrow. But not looking good as they found nodules on his kidney. Still holding out hope.
Night night all
Siobhan

Morning all.
Anyone awake apart from Jane. How did we all got in with the storm? Hope no damage.

Sandra
Morning Sandra! No damage, but storms are a bit scary when you live in a timber-framed house that literally shakes in the wind! Hope all ok your way.
