It is six months for me and it is so intense it could be yesterday
Every body seems to say it’s early days
But I want to know when it is not early days?
I see lots of us guys are hanging around and dangling in the swamp.
I am not much good at the moment but I am there for every single one of you. We all need to
Get a good loving grip on each other .
We are here and I can imagine us all being
together for a long time.
I wonder what our loved ones would think?
Who’d a thought it?

As I have said it’s 16 months for me. It’s not as raw. I dont have days anymore where all I do is cry. I believe the general wisdom is 2 years. My neighbour is at 7 years and says she still has the occasional wobble.
It is different for everyone. Just keep focusing in moving forward.

I wonder that too but I think we will always be upset. But somehow we find a way to live with the loss. When that will be us different for everyone and it doesn’t mean we will still find things tough. But I still struggle with not wanting to learn to live with it because I feel like that means I am leaving him behind.
So difficult.

I am not very adept at standing on one foot and kicking your arse with other.
However, they have just furnished me with crutches. I am sure I can give you a good hard poke up the bum with a crutch. Interested?

You could put your sparkly welly on your good leg. Get a good swing in the crutches. That should do it.
I do hope the ward is a little quieter tonight for you. It does get really boring though.

Suit yourself, just trying to be neighbourly.
I did make myself laugh today, (how sad is that). My physiotherapist is a very young man. He was showing me how to walk with crutches. He said “Sorry to be bossy but you will find this more comfortable if you keep your legs further apart”.
Of course I said “I bet you say that to all the girls”.
It would have been rude not to.

Nah, I don’t prey on young men. I couldn’t think of anyone young enough to be my son in that way. I just can’t resist a golden opportunity when it’s handed to me on a plate. It’s a weakness I have always had. Xx
