Hes a lovely looking cat. You never know how an animal will react but he probably senses your loss, and in his own way offer you some comfort.

He will know something is wrong…I’m sure they have a sixth sense about these things…he is comforting you as he knows you’re suffering……
Our dog Flora lay with Mike on the bed at home for the last week of his life, with her head on his shoulder…she does the same for me at night now Mike has gone….
They pick up on sadness and know something is wrong…….
No words can help Rose…but know we’re all thinking of you and sending our love…
And Tony will be with Pete looking down on you…and no longer suffering…take comfort in that. You loved him and did all you could in his last weeks…….

I agree they sense things.
Both cats were unsettled after Paul died and when I was very upset.
I will have to wait and see how he is now and in the future.
He has been very wary about coming in recently.
Hopefully that will change.

Flora sounds like a very sensitive dog.
Tony was very, very poorly this morning, a sudden and rapid decline…
I had to do what was best for him even though it was so painful to say good bye.

He couldn’t have asked for more than that….
Now you look after yourself…it’s such a hard time for you……these losses are so hard to come to terms with…
But we’re all here with you to help if we can…

I love dogs as well as cats
I always ask it it is ok to say hello to any dog. Then I make a fuss of the dog and ignore the owner.

Hi Linda,
he has a sweet face but looks a bit lost. He looks a bit (a lot) like a Main Coon cat. Does he cross his front paws when he is relaxed? I love Main Coon cats.

When I had to say goodbye to my lovely 20 year old lap cat, the other one totally changed. She was formerly very independent and didn’t spend much time at home, preferring to be out and about. She didn’t like cuddles at all. When it was just her she became a different cat, following us around and always up for a snuggle.
