Coping with comments from others

Blake

I think it will be a long road and will definitely have ups and downs.

I agree. Most people just donā€™t understand. Maybe they havenā€™t experienced a loss. Thatā€™s why itā€™s important to ignore them and try to remember they mean well. But continue to share here where itā€™s understood and if not, people are empathetic.

I totally resonate with this! Itā€™s awful not having your favourite person by you sideā€¦ someone who is there through thick and thin, your personal cheerleader :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Again try to ignore the comments as they think they are helping but in fact are doing the opposite. When someone suffers a loss the first year is going to be so difficult because itā€™s all the milestones you have to endureā€¦ birthdays, holidays without them. I have already gone thru one (his birthday) & tomorrow, a second. He was a father two fabulous kids (now adults) and as itā€™s only been 2 months since he died itā€™s really tough.

But one day at a time or an hour if thatā€™s all you can handle
