Dear Gary,
Your pain is real and you’re not on your own in your grief. Did you know the shortest sentence in the Bible found in John 11 verse 13 is “Jesus wept” He said this when he found his friend Lazarus dead, even though he knew he was about to raise him from the dead, dead for 3 days. It show His humanity and deep compassion for us and understands our deepest grief. He actually took on human emotions and sorrows. Weeping is what you and all of us do in grief at some points, it’s heartfelt, sincere and shows the deep love we have for the person who left this earth, Jesus didn’t just shed a tear and hold back, he wept. When I get like that I cry out to God and honestly, He always brings some help to me, it might not be straight away so we need to be patient. I recite the verse “ can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. “ It does give me comfort to know how much he loves us and the hope of all Gods promises to be fulfilled. Faith comes by hearing the word of God by any means we can. There’s so much information at our fingertips. I watch and listen a lot to Christian based programmes and books. And of course there’s church which I can’t face that well at present but do keep in touch with ministers who recently supportive. My David and I always said how blessed we were to know God is real and It’s really my faith and love for God and my family and friends that is keeping me going right now. He never wanted the suffering in this world and he’s not the cause but the finisher of suffering. God sacrificed His only son to make a way for us to have everlasting life . I know this to be true. I’ve seen so many of my prayers and others answered over the years, not always the way I thought, but God is in control and knows what’s best. I’ve had to lean and put my trust in him more throughout this time of losing my David. I will hold you in my prayers. Please let me know if you or anyone else want me to share more with you
Yes it does Anita. I found another programme called “ A glimpse of Heaven” found on you tube and TBN channel on replay, it’s a concert in 2 parts which is produced by Dr David Jeremiah an author and bible teacher from America, he’s written books about heaven and bases his findings on scripture and promises of God. I found it to be uplifting, hope it blesses all who watch it as well
