CREATING A SHRINE FOR MY MAM

Evening all.

Took the girls to see the red arrows today. Was a nice afternoon on the beach.

We also took mum as she loved them.

Heart in the sky for our mums and Doug.

Lots of love,

Hi all,

I seem to have missed so much and will catch up more when home but having an amazing time in London and so hot down here lol x

@NEILB72 thought of you a few times as the Royal Opera House is just down from our hotel and have seen loads of adverts for shows Iā€™ve heard you mention. Went to the National history museum today and itā€™s free lol x

@Tina19ā€¦I would have loved your toaster as I like my toast half cooked :joy: x

@Debbie57ā€¦love a cat cafe and only ever been to one with my nieces years ago. Yeah thatā€™s Cal in my profile pic :heart_eyes_cat: x

@LucyF90ā€¦what kind of dogs do you have? Sorry if Iā€™ve already asked this but memory is dire at times lol x yeah living in the house I used to share with my mum is sometimes hideous but sometimes comforting but often lonely but never alone x

@Bekiā€¦mum and I went to Grand Canyon but never had guts to go on a helicopter. Were you staying in Vegas when you visited there? x be nice to see your grandad at end of week x

@nicnicā€¦that was a nice idea to take you mumā€™s box with you today. Thought of you wandering about today as saw a shop called ā€˜Morā€™ā€¦have no idea what it sold but made me think of you x

@christine51ā€¦hun let us know youā€™re ok or not okā€¦we just care and miss you (no pressure or guilt implied) x

Take care everyone and look forward to seeing all your posts xx

Haha Iā€™m pretty sure you havenā€™t asked that question so no need to worry about your memory! Iā€™ve got a chihuahua and a Pomeranian, they are my absolute saviours right now. I think being moved will personally do me good, but who knows, in time I might be happy to be here.

Some lovely photos youā€™ve taken there, looks like you had a great weekend!

Hello All

Christine - sending you kindness and looking forward to more of your garden pictures soon.

Suzanne - I love your gorgeous photos, Youā€™ve managed to get yourself from one end of the UK to the other whereas I can seem to get myself motivated to get to the other side of town right now.

Neil - You must miss the shows when you donā€™t have anything booked. Itā€™s nice you get to meet the stars as well. Lucky that you have so many theatres where you are or at least a distance you can travel to quite easily.

Nic - Red Arrows!, I remember watching those many a time on the promenade at Blackpool. Prom used to be heaving afterwards. Nice gesture taking Mum, what a lovely idea.

Debbie - Never heard of a cat cafe, how fascinating. The photos are fantastic as well. Iā€™ll have to find out more about those.

Beki - I must have a nosy streak as I love seeing peopleā€™s gardens. Iā€™m the same with tidying the outside first and leaving the inside last. If cleanliness was indeed next to godliness I wouldnā€™t be in line for any brownie points thatā€™s for sure.

Lucy - No, Iā€™m not a heatwave person. Iā€™m always relieved when I can go out with my jacket on to hide my lumps and bumps and wobbly bits of flesh! Although you see plenty bigger than me that donā€™t seem to be bothered about how they look. I should be the same. I know what you mean about the support of a partner. I wonā€™t find another partner again. I donā€™t have a wish to look really. I know some people do find happiness again Iā€™ll probably end my days a bitter old woman! In fact it does actually worry me about what the future will be.

Well. Itā€™s gone 1.15am but canā€™t sleep. Keep going over a things. Should have got a bottle of wine from the Co-Op but I donā€™t think Iā€™d make a merry drinker, I think Iā€™d be an argumentative and depressed one. I donā€™t even drink.

Anyway love to you all. xx

Hi Suzanne
So glad youā€™ve had a great time in London and thank you for posting your fabulous photos.
Was Wicked just as good as when you saw it last and what did you think of Frozen? I saw that about a month before Mum passed and thought it was really good. One of my stagey friends is in the cast- Steph who plays Princess Anna.
Theatre Royal Drury Lane is one of my favourites and itā€™s just been renovated by Andrew Lloyd-Webber. As for the Royal Opera House what a building that is. Many happy times in there and at the stage door with my ballet friends. Iā€™m actually back there next week for some opera!
Glad you went to the Natural History Museum too. Another fabulous building . Last time I went there was when I was at school! Did go past it last week on the way to the RAH though.
Do you feel the same as what I do when I go into London that it really lifts your spirits and puts your mind in a good place ?
Speak again soon and have a safe journey back.
Sending love and best wishes

Morning.

Hope everyone is as ok as they can be. Iā€™ve woken up with my friend ā€˜funkā€™ today. Wish heā€™d bugger off. Was a nice afternoon yesterday too with the girls so donā€™t know why I feel down today.

I hope everyone had as good a weekend as they could.

Loving all the pictures.

Tina I donā€™t think Iā€™d be a good drunk at the moment either! Probably drown myself in a sea of tears.

Lots of love to you all. I do mean to reply individually but I forget and get so lost with the posts but thinking of it oh all.

Lots of love,

Iā€™ve also woken up with that friend today, finding it hard to shake. Maybe after a nice dog walk I can start to feel a bit better. I hope you shake yours soon.

My youngests nursery session was cancelled today which Iā€™m quite glad of to have the company and a distraction. And someone to keep out of trouble and clean up after!

I hope yours eases too

Hi everyone
Not feeling great at all today. Probably my worst day for 3 weeks. Feeling sad throughout the morning and just had a call to say Mums wheelchair and other equipment will be collected tomorrow. It has to happen because it was on loan but just made me feel so sad again.
I expected a bad day to be around the corner a really good couple of weeks or so but I know good days will happen again .
Sending love and best wishes to you all

Hi Neil,

That must be really hard, even though you knew it had to go it still doesnā€™t make it any easier. It is good to hear that youā€™ve had a good few weeks, gives me some hope to hold onto, I know Iā€™m a long way off yet but it still helps.

Itā€™s great that you are optimistic about good days again. I hope your day gets a bit easier.

Sounds like lots of hugs needed all round today!

I too have the Monday funks but more mini funk that full blown funk!

Any one else get that horrid feeling when things donā€™t feel too bad you start obsessing on when it will feel bad again?! Just call me the Queen of catastrophising!

Itā€™s granddads birthday today, looking forward to him visiting later this week.

At work today so better get to it. I am not a tennis fan so miserable Wimbledon is on - I like to have my naff afternoon tv on in the background when I work. Hopefully Channel 5 will have plenty of naff films and Iā€™ll find some on demand lol.

One day at a time folks and will check in with you all later

I do that I throughout the day, if I start to feel a bit better I worry when itā€™s going to hit again, Iā€™m sure itā€™s all very normal in our circumstances.

Happy birthday to your granddad! It will be nice to have him staying.

I hope you found something good to watch, Iā€™ve been watching Snowflake Mountain, these people are so funny.

Howā€™s everyone doing this evening? Have the funks of all sizes lifted? I hope so

Work wasnā€™t bad. Managed to get some tasks done and @LucyF90 I had Snowflake Mountain on in the background!

Now sat watching tv having stuffed my face with chicken pie and mash.
