Hi Suzanne
Felt better during the evening but seeing that funeral really knocked me back.
Not doing anything this weekend. Dadā€™s birthday tomorrow so will be extra difficult this year. Got him some lovely flowers .
Next week I have cinema and theatre to look forward to. In fact next two Saturdays I have theatre. Will post about them later in the week .
Hope you have a good weekend ( or as good as you can)
Love and best wishes

Hello Christine

Iā€™m really sorry youā€™ve been quite unwell. I remember you saying youā€™d had pains before so I know itā€™s been a while. Do you ever get heartburn or acid indigestion with the pains. Just thinking if you are doing a lot of bending over with gardening you can get quite bad acid attacks. Like Beki said, at least you are getting it looked at. Thereā€™s nothing like putting your mind at rest over something

Today is another month from loss of Mum. Iā€™m sorry to be miserable but it still seems Mum is just having a stay in hospital and Iā€™m subconsciously functioning by focussing on that basis. I think thatā€™s typical Christine of the generation of our Mums in not saying when they were Ill. Not wanting a fuss etc. I know what you mean when you say you are feeling bad again Christine. Iā€™ve been the same.

You actually made me laugh with your comment about giving Zoe something to chew of my Brothers in return for his unkind behaviour. I only wish I could get away with it! Iā€™ve already had my daily dose of being shouted at.

Donā€™t know why Zoe was overwhelmed at the meet up. Sheā€™s much more socialised than me in fact! Drinks in the park cafe, Pupacinnoā€™s on Starbucks, playing in the park so donā€™t know why sheā€™s so scared.

Iā€™m assuming your neighbour doesnā€™t work Saturdays. Thatā€™s a shame if he doesnā€™t. I can well believe what a pain the workmen are being a nuisance. You made me laugh with the hipop.

Enjoy your peaceful garden today Christine if you can. Hope your stomach pains subside and you get some ā€œpottering about doneā€.

Catch you later

Much love xx

Hello Neil.

I can see how upset youā€™d be. Iā€™d be the same. In all honesty I donā€™t remember seeing a funeral car since. Probably as I donā€™t go out at the same time as most mortals just so I can avoid everyday business etc.

Like you I have also had some significant dates in the last week and today is 7months since I lost Mum. I do find the panic and upset to be worse in the run up but everyone is different arenā€™t they.

Hope today is kind and gentle and then as you say, it will soon be time for a bit of escapism with the shows you have on.

Hi again Neil

For me itā€™s seeing the carerā€™s cars because there is no escaping them. At all hours in the day and as most are local they are in the local co-op too.
Nightmare.

Hi Tina
I totally get what you mean . With me its seeing an ambulance as that was Mums last journey when she was alive. And Dad too. I just had a little chat with Cruse because of the apprehension for Dads birthday tomorrow and it has made me feel ready to deal with it .
Hope your Saturday will be as good as can be.
Iā€™m doing some ironing this afternoon. That was the only thing I was rubbish at but am mastering it now. I know Mum would be pleased!
Lots of love and best wishes

Neil you need to wash, hang out or tumble dry, straight back on coat hanger and hung up. That way you donā€™t need to iron, canā€™t remember the last time I got mine out, itā€™s probably got cobwebs on it . I always buy clothes that donā€™t need ironing. Never iron bedding after all no one is going to see it now.
My mum would be horrified.
Thinking of you tomorrow on your dadā€™s birthday.
Sending love

Hi Debbie
Itā€™s only shirts mainly that I iron . As you say most stuff doesnt need ironing now. Must admit Iā€™m getting quite good at it :grinning:
Will be having a quiet day for Dad tomorrow and hoping Iā€™ll get through it OK

Iā€™m sending the laundry-police to your house Debbie Mind you, I too donā€™t iron if I can help it so they would have to come via mine. Like you say thankfully most fabrics donā€™t need it these days. Iā€™d spend hours in front of the TV ironing for my Husband. I used to find it oddly very therapeutic.

Hi Tina
Thank you. Even though I have had six years without Dad on his birthday , this one obviously is the first on my own . Have some lovely flowers for him . Just having a quiet day today as nothing planned but know if I have a bad day I have some shows booked for the next couple of weekends.
Hope you have a good day

The last time is used iron regularly when Doug was still coach driving, that was white shirts. I did more when the kids were at school, uniforms that was always a last Sunday night rush.
The last few years Doug mainly wore polo shirts, the iron is definitely an relic now. X

Hi Neil,

Thinking of you today and hoping it will not feel as bad as you fear x if you wanna talk you know where we all are x

Dunno about where you are but itā€™s just so hot up here alreadyā€¦canna handle it lol x

Are you planning on going to see Thor next week? My friend wants me to go with her but mum was just obsessed with Chris Hemsworth (to the point it was indecentā€¦she was old enough to be his granny :joy:) x

Iā€™m away for some shopping then up to the Loch this afternoon so will check in on you later xx

Hi Suzanne
Yes itā€™s really hot down here too and most of next week too.
I made a quick call to Cruse this morning. I think itā€™s for reassurance as much as anything and they said Iā€™m doing everything I possibly can and that the counselling has really helped me. This is what they are for on days like this . It has helped me to focus on when to bury Mums ashes . Iā€™m hoping to do it near her birthday next month but of course as you know our feelings are up and down by the day!
Iā€™m at the cinema on Wednesday( prices have gone up at Vue) to see The Black Phone which has been getting really good reviews. Got another appt with the employment service that the job centre referred me to in Thursday. Thankfully this week my UC appt is a phone one !
Hope you have a good Sunday
Lots of love and best wishes

Evening all.

I have missed a lotā€¦.

We went to the beach yesterday and I actually went swimming in the sea and it was so nice. We were all shattered when we got back. Itā€™s so hot weā€™ve all got a bit of sunburn in places even though the girls were covered in factor 50ā€¦.

Christine itā€™s good to see you posting. I hope youā€™re feeling better?

Neil, I hope today hasnā€™t been as bad as you thought it might be. Iā€™m glad you have some shows lined up. Keep you focused and something to look forward to.

I hope everyone else is ok and had a good weekend and not been too hot!

Iā€™m back to work on Wednesday. Iā€™m doing half my normal hours for now. But Iā€™m a bit anxious. Not been in since Feb when life was normalā€¦ā€¦

Sending lots of love to you all
