Has been a very long weekend for me . Really dragged but remembering Dad today and trying to keep as positive as I can. Really need to get out next weekend though so looking forward to my two shows coming up.

Had a pretty bad morning although felt a bit better this afternoon. Bit disappointed in one or two of Mum and Dadās friends who didnt acknowledge Dadās birthday . Not even a text . Thatās why I like to come on here and talk to you lovely people as we all understand each other .
Seemed a really long weekend probably because I wasnt doing anything .
Hope next week will be better.

Hope everyone is okay with this heat today, the thermometer in my garden reached 38c at one point. My son tells me itās going to get even hotter next weekend, I hope he is wrong.
Yesterday I went to party in the park, my granddaughter was dancing during the afternoon, really proud grandma. The evening we went back to see Abba Revival playing they were really good, my ears were still ringing this morning and the heat I think got to me a bit as feeling a bit dizzy today.
It seems you have had a bit of a tough day Neil, itās life people soon forget even though itās very hurtful for you. I am glad you have something booked for next weekend.
Sounds like you had a good time with the girls at the beach Nic. Itās easy to forget how easy it is to burn even with sun cream at the beach. I hope everyone is not suffering too much.
Sorry Suzanne, I got it wrong it was your mum that loves Chris Hemsworth , I with her and Nic, he is rather dishy.
Hope volunteering wasnāt to hot for you today.
Tina I hope Zoe and you survived the heat today, that goes to you Lucy, Beki, Suzanne and Christine all the pet owners.
I should really water the garden, but I canāt be bothered, havenāt done anything much today, I donāt do well in the heat. Dreading work tomorrow.

Touch warm isnāt it?!
Hope everyone is coping okay. I am thinking about moving the computer and everything downstairs to work as it stays cooler down there. May just work up here for an hour or two, as chair and set up more comfy and hope the fab keeps me cool

Hello Christine and Neil.
Hope things are ok with you both so far as is possible.
Went to the shops earlier and found some bargains in the store, for a second or two thought Mum was at home and that Iād show her what I had. Itās always the unexpectedness that gets to you isnāt it.
Glad I went so early as I wouldnāt like to be walking home with it being so hot. Supermarket was so cool and pleasant.
Good job these theatres and cinemas are air conditioned Neil.
Christine hope the stomach pains have eased. Iāll see if I can take some garden pictures after and post. Nothing to write home about though as the saying goes!

Iām always like that every time I go shopping . I expect to hear Mums voice when I come home asking what I bought . I used to quite like shopping - hate doing it now!
Cinemas especially are probably the coolest places to be in this weather - hopefully will be the case on Wednesday. Iām seeing the film The Black Phone which is a horror and has really good reviews .

Good morning to all.
Put the washer on at 7.30am to find itās raining - maybe itās just a diversion to fool us before the sun breaks through!
Given Zoe her daily treat bribe which will keep it busy while I need 20minutes to do stuff. Going to cost me a fortune in chews next week when my my Brother is away for a week. Unless Iām carted off by the men in white coats before the weeks out. Does nothing I ask of it.

Bit more cloudy here today although very muggy. In a couple of days Iāve applied for 16 jobs ! So I wont be going to my job search appt on Thursday as I think Iāve applied for every single job going 
. I have a UC phone appt though so not that bad.
Difficult day for me today as usual so rang Samaritans earlier for a bit of support. Bit disappointed that no family or close friends acknowledged Dads birthday on Sunday . Made me a bit upset .
Film should be good tomorrow. I used to see all the Marvel films but havent seen one for ages . The Black Phone is a horror starring Ethan Hawke and is supposed to be very disturbing .
Got some more Ballet lined up for the autumn and spoke to a couple of my dancer friends earlier.

Hope we all survived the heat today, still very muggy with odd spot of rain here. Good practice for what we have to look forward to next weekend.
You have been busy in the job hunting front Neil, just make sure you find something you really want to do and not be forced into any old job. Hope tomorrow is a better day for you and you are going to see a horror film. I hope it doesnāt give you nightmares.

I can only assume maybe that they didnāt contact you on your dads birthday incase they upset youā¦people donāt think sometimes and maybe think basically ignoring you on a special day like that would upset you more

Hi everyone
Hope we are all well on another hot day. Might be going on for another week yet 
Saw The Black Phone at the cinema and really enjoyed it. Ethan Hawke playing against type as ā The Grabber ā . Not a lot of jump out of your skin moments but a really good storyline and the young children actors were fantastic . Same director as Doctor Strange going back to his horror roots. Ticket prices have gone up since I was last at Vue. Lovely and cool inside .

Two tower fans arrived today much needed. Granddad arrives tomorrow and one will be going back with hi.

Been getting more and more done at the garden but think it will be quiet for the next few days with this heat and even more to come.

Hi everyone,
Went out in the garden about eight for a coffee, thought this feels cooler, ended up cutting the lawn, pruning, weeding, watering and fed the birds. Iām shattered now, didnāt fancy doing it at the weekend with the temperature they are expecting.
Christine, I hope you are okay and coping in this weather, the heat is certainly making the garden look a bit wilted even with watering, the lawn is really brown. Hope you are feeling a bit better, have you been for your scan yet?
Iām glad you enjoyed the film Neil, I really donāt like horror it would give me nightmares.
Good thinking on your part Beki to think of grandad in the heat this weekend, Iāve had my tower fan on at night, only problem the noise is keeping me awake. You will have to show us what you have been up to in the garden.
Nic you did it, got through the first day of work, it will get easier from this point on.
Have you had any more early shopping trips to Asda for bargins Tina. Is your brother going away for work next week, I hope you enjoy a lovely peaceful week, both you and Zoe.
Air conditioning fixed at work yet Suzanne, we all envy you Lucy with your air conditioning at work.
I went to the co-op earlier, there was one of those little robots inside waiting for itās shopping. Havenāt seen any on the street yet .

Glad the film was decent and itās been a while since Iāve seen Ethan Hawk in anything x Iāll be honest the picture fails me full of horror lol x
Havenāt been to the pictures where I have actually paid in donāt know how long so I donāt know how much it is but I can only imagine how expensive it is now especially where you live x

Hi all
Having a bit of a āhideaway from mankind dayā today as feeling really down/alone/hopeless etc. Not just about losing Mum but my Husband as well. Not sleeping, just feel bereft in every sense of the word. However I just wanted to say Hello.
Not sure how Iām going to manage Zoe on my own next week. Sheās just flipped my brother in the air after she decided to go on an impromptu āzoomiesā escapade whilst still on the lead so Iāve no hope of keeping her in order.
