Dealing with cremation and ashes

I am sorry for your losses and the dilemma of where to place ashes. My husband’s ashes need to be collected soon, and they will rest in the garden shed until I die. After my death and cremation, our son will take both of the containers, dig a hole in a designated wood in Kent where we liked to walk, tip the contents of both into the earth and mix them. After this he will cover them. There will be no memorial. But we will be reunited and will hopefully help to preserve the life of a tree.
