I really cant cope anymore, spent all night crying, i feel im living in hell
Dear Helen
May I ask do you have family or friends nearby? Do they know how you are feeling? Have you spoken to your GP?
We all understand how you are feeling. I too wake often panicking and have to go outside I find it helps me to not think, focus on something else. I can’t sleep at all without listening to something. A boring TV drama or boring history for sleep on YouTube. I have the volume low so that I have to focus to listen. It plays all night so that if I wake I listen again.
My GP gave me a week’s supply of sleeping tablets. Getting a few nights sleep really does help a little. There was a post on here a little while ago about grief and what it does to the brain. It helped me to understand.
I’m really sorry your struggling, please reach out for help x
I just feel i cant go on
I know Helen we all feel like that at times. Our lives can be a living nightmare. Please know that things will get better. There will be good days again. None of us will ever feel the same, we’ll all miss our loved ones forever. I know though that my husband loved me so much he would want me to carry on and try and be as happy as I can be. I like to think he’d be proud of some of the things I’ve managed to do since he went. I talk to him all the time, we are stronger than we think.
You need to take care of yourself for now. You need to sleep so phone your GP, you need to eat a little, anything. I lived on quiche and yogurt but try anything and please drink enough.
Keep posting, everyone wants to help x
It’s good that you’ve phoned Samaritans but if they haven’t helped you now should phone 999 they will give you the assistance you need in this moment ![]()

Dear Helen,
this struggle we’re facing is an absolute nightmare.
I do feel for you being desperate and feeling unable to cope.
The only thing I could do is send some strength your way.
Like the others said, try to get some help.
It’s very important that you take care of yourself.
Your husband is looking out for you from up above, patiently awaiting your reunion, which will be forever.
Meanwhile please take care of yourself!
Kind regards - Joe

That’s a start Helen. Do you have any food in? Just a piece of toast and marmalade if you can nibble something. I’ve now got into a routine as I’ve not really got an appetite, toast and toast and soup are my go too. Anything will do but you do need to eat x
Dear Helen,
what about some high-calorie energy drink?
Either ready-made or a powder to mix with milk.
These drinks come in many different flavors and supply your body with many nutrients your body needs.
You definitely do need to take in nutrients!
Please take good care of yourself!
Kind regards - Joe
Dear Helen, please, please contact your GP. Mine has helped me through the worst, unbearable times. We are all here for you.
