Even when it’s raining …
@SadGirlfriend Thank you, its a place called Druridge Bay in Northumberland, always interesting, often beautiful.
Volunteered to help out at the finish line of the London to Brighton cycle ride, had a nice time handing out medals to cyclists. The weather was good too xx
Hi People, Loved this thread and everyone chipping in,
Hope I could contribute, I recently did my 10 days Vipassana Meditation (Silent Retreat) and although the first 3 days were terrible and filled with extreme anxiety, at the end of the 10th day it helped me feel better and took away my misery and made my mind feel so refreshed.
We couldn’t talk to people, no phones, no eye contact, just observing the mind matter phenomenon and it just healed me. I had been abused, taken advantage off and lost my mom all at the same time and these 10 days helped me, although coming back to reality has been a little challenging but it made me a stronger person to face life and be less critical of myself
That sounds amazing. Sounds like you’re ready to take on the world. Good for you.
Just had a tattoo in memory of my cat Ruby that passed away a couple of months ago. It’s still a bit sore.
I’m just back from visiting my 3 grandchildren and eldest daughter near Cambridge. Spent a fortune, but it was worth it. I treat each grandchild that passes their GCSE and A levels to a shopping spree. I forgot I had 2 GCSE and 1 A level this year, along with the 18th birthday and a 21st. Oh well, it’s only money and there to be spent.
A lovely picture, the solitude and peacefulness must have been very therapeutic.
Some toasted marsh mallows and a cup of cocoa would be a nice addition !.
