Some days feel a bit easier, then suddenly without warning the deepest sadness falls, doesn’t it, Rosegarden? My husband died in the Spring, this year. We put his ashes into the garden, and planted a lovely little rosebush above them. Its name is ‘You’re My Everything ‘. Ian was my everything. The big oak tree, which at the time was filling with leaves, has now cast them down and they have fallen where he is. Next Spring the tree will fill with leaves and the little rose bush will flower again. In the meantime, we must try and do our best to carry on, as our so very much loved and missed husbands would have wanted us to do. Sending a warm and understanding hug, Rosegarden. Xx

Good Morning to you and everyone on here.

I hope you are ok John and your break won’t be a long ones.
Going to miss those morning flowers but you do what you need to do.

thank you for thinking of me,its been a hard day today at 9 months.i dont know how i have “Survived” but somehow i have. The kindness and understanding of yourself and everyone on this site has helped me, especially when so called relatives and friends have dissapeared and carrying on with their own lives.my dear wife has i fear already been “forgotten” by some.at the funeral it was all we will keep in touch now hardly anything. When its just you alone its all so hard trying to “exist” day to day.It really is true no one understands what we have been through unless they have experienced it.Christmas is approachingand we arealready bombarded with music and adverts.it will be such a hard upsetting time for many of us.i hope you are ok?take care.

Brummy,

It’s hard, I think my biggest fear is that people will forget Sue. People’s lives move on. I didn’t know losing my wife also meant losing friends who I needed. Like you say even family move on, as they should, but one act of kindness can go a long way. After my last shopping trip, I make myself have a coffee out. I sat down and they were playing Christmas songs. I was not ready for this, so yes tears rolled down. You have survived 9 months, you are doing well. Step by step and we will remember them.

Take care

It’s those Christmas songs that are getting toe as well.

365 days a year my Ron’s Ringtone was “Let it snow”

We used to love our little cosy Christmas together now it’s just me as my daughter will be working Christmas day.

Ron departed this world Two months ago today and took with him the best part of me.

But I have my faith and trust, that there is more to life and death then this ,and when my number is called we will be together forever

Oh what a day that will be Ron will be waiting for me like he said :smiling_face_with_tear:.

I feel so sad today crying my eyes out at 7.25 am…

Gerronimo,

When the wave hits,it’s best just to let it.

I am afraid triggers can come at anytime.

We just have to keep going till hopefully, we will meet are partners again. Two months is still pretty raw. Please look after yourself.

Morning everyone,

it is cold this morning.

I think many of us, me included, wonder how we have got through the time
since our loved ones died.

Take care.
