I am in a little place called Taynuilt near Oban with my family. Its beautiful here and the weather has been perfect, cold but sunny, just one person missing
He is here with us though I am sure

It’s strange this morning, as I expect it will be for many of us. The first Christmas without our partners.
I am lucky in that I’m spending it with someone, but for those on their own, try to have as good a day as you can.
Looks like it’s going to be a nice day, so going for a walk later.

Take care everyone and have as good a day as possible. Mine got off to a very shaky start at 3am, just couldn’t stop the tears. My first Christmas without my darling Ray… spoke to his sister in Australia who said all the right things and we were able to comfort one another. Spending the day alone, which I don’t mind, me and Peggy the cat will have some treats x thinking of you all

I’d like to wish everyone on here a good day, especially those on their own. This is the second Christmas without my dear husband but first ever being on my own. I really feel heartbroken, thinking of all the happy times of Christmases past. I don’t mean to put a dampener on your day, so please forgive me if I have.

I’m on my 3rd christmas without Rob, I decided to spend it alone as my daughter and older grandchildren are all doing their own thing and my other 2 children live away.
I’m busy baking ready to take to my sons tomorrow as driving over to Lincoln around lunch time tomorrow for a few days, then I am going to Belgium for new year on a solo holiday. Its the 1st time I’ve gone away at new year so a new experience and away to meet more new people.
I hope everyone finds some peace and happiness over Christmas. Xx
