Yes, that must be hard. I’m only 5 weeks down the path of losing my beloved Mark. I’ve been walking by the sea, thinking of him. I hope you find some joy. I’m looking for it in small things.

Very sorry for your loss Marissa and so very recent too, that’s a lovely picture. I’ve had lovely phone calls from my family, They’re so far away, hopefully it won’t be too long till they can visit me. I tell them I’m ok of course I’m not, the good thing about coming on something like this is that we can put down our true feelings. Wishing you all the best.

I do hope you are ok?I hope you have had a peaceful day and everyone on here too.Its been a hard day for me like many of us a day spent alone with just memories of my dear wife which sadly brought many tears. My sister in law phoned and her late husbands cousin and that was it.The house like my life now is so lonely and empty.Take care.

Brummy,

I hope you manage the rest of the day. It is hard, a house with no Christmas cheer is very lonely. I hope a good memory gets in tonight.

Take care.

Good night all,

I seem to have developed a stye over the last couple of days. I woke up yesterday morning and noticed it. It’s got worse today so using warm compresses to ease it.

Anyway, hope you had as good a day as you could .

Thank you. Yes, it’s been an up and down day, but over all nice to spend it with my two daughters. We’re on a house-sit by the sea, looking after a lovely dog and two cuddly cats. So I feel lucky today compared to some other days.

Crosby beach, Liverpool. Where my Ray grew up, had a lovely walk here remembering him this morning. I felt he was walking right beside me. Xx

Used to love walking along beach at Formby with my beloved husband, Michael. He died suddenly 3 weeks ago and funeral not till January so this is an extra hard time. Opened bag of presents he’d already bought for me. So hard but also comforting in a way.

Maybe be I’ll try beach at Crosby for a change.

Morning All.

Looks like a nice morning weather wise.
I hope we all managed as good a Christmas Day as we could.
Mine was spent with family at a house of a friend of theirs and to say I wasn’t looking fwd to it is an understatement but it was the best thing I could’ve done.
Different house with different people so different conversations and it was so good to laugh. All in all very enjoyable
My John would be so pleased I did that and met others. I’m sure he was there with us all and I dearly wish he could have been..:heart_hands:

Lovely you felt him by your side. I can’t feel Mark near me. I hope I will. I lost him 5 weeks ago. We buried some of his ashes a week ago and 11 of us were there to say goodbye. In January we will have a celebration of his life with all his friends. Organising this feels more painful as I look at all the photos of us together and his lovely smiling face. I haven’t got to the point where I can feel glad for the years we had instead of sorrow that he has gone. The sorrow is still greater. I hope you find some peace. I’m finding hard to be aline and no longer a couple with him.

Good morning, hope you all had a peaceful Christmas.

I’m packed ready to drive to my sons house for boxing day with my 2 little grandsons then 4am Monday morning I get picked up to go to Belgium for new year. I’vehad to do 2 lots of packing as I wont be back in my own home till 7th January.

I then hope to get the keys to my new home on 9th if the solicitors have received the funds on time and drive back to Lincoln to start all the building work.

So 2026 is going to be a busy one which is good as gives me something to concentrate on.
