@Helen39 I’m glad he didn’t find anything naughty looking. Yes, it is very interesting to watch what the camera shows, I’ve not had it done but Rachel did when she was having trouble with her voice. She had to have a camera down to look at her vocal cords, the doctor doing it explained everything that the camera was showing as it went down. I found it very interesting poor Rachel couldn’t see the screen where she was. She did get to see her vocal cords as he showed that back afterwards to explain what her problem was. She had to leave the church choir as she couldn’t sing properly, when she went to say something sometimes her voice came out sometimes some words didn’t. It was like Norman Collier (if you remember him) when he used to pretend the microphone wasn’t working properly. Hopefully you’ll get the other appointments through soon.
Hi Helen
I am so pleased everything went well for you today. And they will do the next appointment quickly. I hope they find it benign. I am Squeamish so I would have looked away as well .
Hope you manage to rest now
Hello everyone on this baking hot afternoon. So glad to read Helen that your appointment went well. You seem to take all these things in your stride. I hope the news continues to be positive.
My attention was caught by several people writing about worrying. I do a great deal of that. Living in the future., Wasting energy, but it’s very hard to stop it.
I just dictated Rosie into the post, but it came out as where is he? Heartbreaking.
Hi Helen I have finished painting and now I’m trying to survive being gently cooked on a low flame.![]()
I hope you are careful until you get treated at least. I’m sure things can wait until you’re ready. It was probably just as well you didn’t know about the camera, at least you didn’t have to be worrying about it. I hope you have a lovely afternoon
Wishing you all best
Tom

The bus and train journey was really pleasant. as all the windows were open so even you was hot there was a nice breeze as we travelled along
. For anyone who doesn’t know , Salford Quays
is a Marina , Shopping centre , Museums art galleries, ect .
We did some shopping, had a walk around the marina , . And had fish and chips for our lunch .
Here are a few pictures I took
For our American friends Salford Quays , Manchester England.
I hope everyone has a peaceful afternoon
That’s what I thought Tom, it would have been something else to worry about.
I’m afraid I have trouble sitting so I’ve aimed a fan at myself and just finished all the ironing. I don’t think I can make it to the school though.
I’m going to make a cool drink and find a shady corner before the little monkeys get back x
Hi Sherbet your photos are lovely. I’m glad you had a good time and enjoyed your fish and chips
wishing you a lovely afternoon
All the best
Tom

Lovely photos, thank you for sharing. Our daughter went to Manchester university, I remember going to Salford to the imperial war museum with her.
It looks like you’ve had a lovely day, hope it wasn’t too warm x
Hi Sherbet. That looks a lovely place to go, I’ve never been to Manchester. I hope you had a good day. I could eat some yummy fish and chips right now, just a small portion. LJ

Thank Tom
Sometimes a change of scenery and getting out . I used to work with my friend , I retired before her , we stayed in touch . And meet up about once a month . She has always bern there for me . Even more so since my husband died .
@Julia12 whereabouts in North Wales are you going? I only came back from there a fortnight ago, I was staying in Porthmadog. I actually realised it’s 50years in August since I first went to N. Wales on holiday, we stayed in a hotel in Llandudno, I was only 6 at the time. I’m sure you’ll have a great time, the scenery is wonderful the only downside is with the weather having been so dry & hot the waterfalls won’t be as spectacular as they can be.
It’s lovely to have that special friend to be there for you. I have two very special friends, who are always there if I need them, it means so much knowing that. Take care LJ ![]()
Hi Helen
I walk past the Imperial War Museum today. I have never been there . It is on my list of things to do there . They also do boat trips from the marina to Manchester ship canal so that’s on the list as well . All the shops and places to eat are air conditioned so we were ok . Coming home my walk from the bus stop is all under trees so was shaded .
Sherbet, just looking at the water in your pictures is a pleasure on a day like this. Rosie.
Hi @Julia12
I hope you’re feeling a bit better now and enjoy your trip to Wales . I used to go to North Wales when I was a child. @58tigger travels in Wales fetched back so many happy memories for me . I don’t why my husband would never go to Wales . So it’s on my list of places I like to go to when I am feeling a bit stronger. Have a peaceful afternoon
Oh Rosie these things are like a stab through the heart aren’t they. I now feel I can deal with some things without breaking down, it’s the things I’m not prepared for I can’t. Booking in at the hospital today they checked my details and when she said your husband is your next of kin I gasped.
Worrying about everything and everyone is now normal for me, I think our brain is now programmed to torture us. I’m trying to set myself one worry at a time, tomorrow is solicitors and trying to mow the lawn and pack if it’s not too hot.
I hope one day we can all relax a little, wouldn’t that be nice x
Hi Rosie
It really is nice there and so nice to walk round the marina .
That’s very reassuring Helen!! Very glad to hear that!!!
Well that’s killed my mood completely now, I started this morning not feeling too bad, then I saw a post on fb saying that Bonnie Tyler had passed away yesterday and that really hit me, no idea why it did. I knew she was in hospital in Portugal but she had improved, she had been in a coma but had come out of that. I have a friend who was a friend of Bonnie’s & it was her post I saw & then my feed seemed to be full of different posts about it. Now the housing officer has been, the housing association are now not willing to pay the bill for the lady to come to help me clear my bungalow & said if she came they would have to then charge me for it, there’s no way I can afford to pay it the quote is over £4000. He was then on about if I can’t soon clear it they may have to take me to court & get a court order against me, over it. I managed to hold myself together until he left, then I curled up on the bed & cried, I’m still crying now just not quite so hard. I can’t actually see the screen properly through the years, so sorry if thrre’s some wrong letters about, I have’nt got my glassez on eother. I sat here totally floored, it’s the first timr I’ve met him, his direction seems compleyely diffetent to the lady who came before. I just don’t know what I’m going to do, maybe tonight will be the night when I go to sleep & then to join Rachel. Don’t panic I’m not suicial, just don’t want to go on, I certainly don’t feel like going to the concert on Saturday.
Hi Helen we spend our lives worrying about everything and although it rarely changes anything, it often stops us enjoying what we have Infront of us. I hope you can relax and feel the peace you need
All the best
Tom
