I had some great news today - Iā€™ve been offered an allotment! Only half a plot but thatā€™s fine. I canā€™t wait to get started, unfortunately itā€™s raining here today.

Thatā€™s a great new project! Congratulations! Hope it doesnā€™t make your back ache like my garden is doing to me! Iā€™ve vowed to avert my eyes from the jungle that was once our veg patch, for this year at least! And if I ever get back to it I must remember not to plant too many courgettes. Have you thought what you will do with excess produce once you get your allotment up and running?

Haha, no, my back will be fine as Iā€™ve practised yoga for 15 years. I canā€™t imagine an excess of produce, but that would be a nice problem to have! Iā€™ve been trying to grow veg in the garden but have a slug problem, so at least now Iā€™ll be able to put some big flowering shrubs in there and grow the veg elsewhere.
