Just an idea

Sad2, Margarita and I are in London and a couple of others live nearby in Twickenham and Essex. Would be good to meet in a little while when restrictions are eased.

Thank you, would be good to meet up. Please could you let me know when and where.
Much appreciated.

Hi all,

I actually run a pub in central London (5 minute walk from Moorgate or 7 minutes from Bank)
If people in London would like to organise a meet up and have a coffee, I’d be happy to host (as well as join)

Perhaps less pressure in an environment hosted by someone also going through the same thing.

Just a thought. We are likely to be opening in May rather than April.

Hope you’re all doing as well as you can be.
Laura

Laura, that would be great. It’s a really good idea.

Thank you. Please let us know when.

I’m not certain I have the guts to leave the house but I’m near Warrington/ Wigan/Manchester

Thank you to everyone. I feel so alone since my husband passed and the thought of meeting up with people who know how I am feeling is giving me strength.

Would really like this @Juli69. Alternatively I’m happy to travel to Wigan or Manchester if there’s a Northern meet up planned x

@Lauramaymac I am unsure which mainline stations Moorgate or Bank are near in London but could look it up. It would be nice to meet in a place run by someone also experiencing grief. Most of us will feel very unsure and nervous as we have not been out socially without our loved ones yet. Sounds like a few of us could get to a London meet up.

Hi Kathleen. I live near Manchestet and would love to meet up when all this is over. Please can you private message me nearer the time as so many threads on here. Anyone else in or near Manchester?

I too met my wife at 15 I find it so hard to think about life without my beautiful wife and soul mate married for thirty four years, she was my best friend. A friend of mine said now I have to recreate myself, not sure how.

I’d like to attend any meets in or near to Manchester too. I don’t know anyone who feels how I feel. My sister doesn’t talk about our dad passing so it’s like I’m totally on my own with it.

I’m in Wigan and this sounds like a geat idea x

I’m the same together from 15 for 37 years it’s just so devastating I feel so lost and unless you are in this situation you have no idea how this feels. This is a really great idea to meet to support each other x

Can I say with all the grief, difficulty to carry on, locked down with covid, not wanting to socialise but need some company with people who understand the pain, the double edge sword swings again, can we move on, do we want to move on… At least we can share our pain but off each other we can pull out our good memories.
