If there is a London meet up I am hoping it will be at a weekend. Obviously if it isn’t so be it.
I have always found that interesting classes/groups specifically for over 50’s are always mid week. For those of us that work it is so disappointing. It is almost as if they think the over 50’s don’t go out after 4pm. The opportunity to meet people and possibly make friends around the same age is very restricted locally to me. My bereavement is relatively recent. I haven’t looked to see if there are any relevant local groups to that, as most things are online and I cannot bear zoom meetings.

Is a Northwest meet up on the cards? I am still working so weekend Is all I can do Sunday is the best day . I need to listen and talk to someone who understands what we are going though, although I will be very nervous as I am very inward at most but willing to give it a go
It seems that a few of us are in different parts of London. Maybe we can organise a meetup perhaps at the Southbank and take a stroll along the Thames?

I lost my husband 17 months ago to Pancreatic Cancer…and my world has imploded.
Being able to connect with other bereaved people online is amazing…but no substitute for the real thing.

Meeting up sounds good. If you live in Tyne & Wear, I’m organising a short series of wellness walks for widows/ers Mondays from May Bank holiday. Walks all start/end at a metro station and range from 3.5 to 8.5 miles. Each week, walks will be from different areas around along river, coast and city walks as well as walks to a few well known local monuments. Walking is a great way to improve our mental health as well as our physical health and they will be delivered in accordance with covid regs in force at the time and should be booked in advance. Please PM me for more info of my first walk.

I have just had my 2nd vaccination so need to stay home for another 2 weeks. So we could meet in London in May perhaps?

How does Tuesday the 4th of May or Saturday the 8th sound?
As I mentioned before I thought Southbank might be a good destination.
