Hi, I’m new to this, so I’m not really sure how this works.
I’m 25 and dealing with the loss of both my parents.
My dad died almost 4 years ago, and my mum October 2024. They were both sudden & very traumatic. I just can’t come to terms with their deaths. I feel so alone.
Thank you for bravely reaching out. I’m so sorry for the loss of both your parents.
You are not alone; sadly, we have many members who have experienced the loss of their parents. You may want to connect with @Brit, who recently shared their story of losing both their parents at a young age, too:
You might also want to explore our Online Bereavement Support, where you find our Grief Guide self-help platform, and how to access our Online Bereavement Counselling.
Please do keep reaching out and take care,
Seaneen
You post what you want and someone will listen. You are not alone, i bet your parents are so proud of you. …getting out of bed and living. Just being you
I’m 23 now, I lost my mum at 19 and my dad this year at 22 in January. It’s super tough navigating loss when you don’t feel ‘grown up’ yet. I feel like I have no safety net, no emergency contact, super alone and just in fear a lot of the time. It’s easy to feel alone especially when the direct people around you (friends and stuff) just can’t relate in anyway cos I feel it too but we’re not alone and unfortunately it does happen to people. I try my best to be strong because I know my parents would want me to have the best life possible and even when it’s hard I’m trying my best too and I’m sure you are too!
