Music which means a lot

It’s a beautiful song.

That’s very haunting @cosmic-yak
I’ve never heard it before,

It really is, and haunted is how I feel. I feel like my late partner is very much alive inside my head even after over two years!

@cosmic-yak that is so moving, again as others have said, I’ve never heard it before. Thank you for sharing it and take care. As part of my bereavement counselling, I was told I was an overthinker and I do tend to realise I do that, now I’ve been told it.

Thanks! I too am an over-thinker. Time to find some happier songs…

Weirdly, I’ve just discovered Skiffle, something I grew up on but didn’t realise, as most of it was before I was born. Sisters and brother always played it, very basic but happy to listen to. Magic stuff, John

I haven’t listened to any music (Except at the funeral) since I lost my husband in November. I didn’t listen to any Christmas songs and have even been known to mute the tv during adverts. I suffer from ear worms and if a certain tune or sad song gets stuck in my head, it’s there for a week or more and I am a permanent wreck.

@Jean8 Like you I can’t listen to music yet. Got caught out when I had some 60s music on TV in the background accidentally and heard Elvis singing Can’t help falling in love followed by the Seekers I’ll never find another you. Complete meltdown. xx

@Johnch You would probably need to go to the antiques shop for your washboard if you want to play your skiffle. Doubt if anyone even knows what a washboard is these days!

Cosmic-yak. Thank you for posting this lovely haunting song i have never heard it before it is over 2yrs since my husband died but he is with me in my head also.

What about the tea chest bass? Talking to my step daughter a couple of weeks ago she didn’t know what a tea chest was.
