I am only 13 weeks into journey.
The weekends are bad seem to linger on.
I dont sleep well anymore becmd at 11pm up at 4am cant get back to sleep.
Went out today but felt so alone i came back too painful memories of what we would have done together now just me dont think i will get used to that feeling.
I wish i had a magic wand to take away everyones pain during this time but it wouldn’t be that simple.
Take care everyone and enjoy whats left if sunday. I will be watching the rugby supporting Scotland then supporting Fiji in next game gor my husbsnd he was born there in 1960.

My husband was born in 1952. Yours were mere babes. I am happy to support Scotland as whilst my mother was brought up in Newcastle she was born in Scotland then it might as well be Fiji.

Sorry Debs 5 i was born in Scotland 1957 my husband was born in Fiji 1960 but came to Edinburgh to stay in 1963 with his mum and older brother his dad stayed in Fiji and his parents divorced a few years later.
He was also given clean health only 2 weeks before he passed away with arteriosclerosis cardicascular disease but no signs if illness. It was really suddend and very traumatic dont think i will forget that day. Hopefully get some counselling i am on the waiting list for Cruise x

I had similar problems. My husband lost a lot of weight after we came back from holiday last year and put it down to his frozen shoulder. He even got taken to A&E by one of our friends between Christmas and New Year where they did a bunch of tests and just gave him painkillers for the shoulder telling him there was nothing else wrong. We breathed a sigh of relief but after he went into hospital on 19th January because he couldn’t breathe then discovered after a couple of weeks that there was the possibility of cancer, but up to that point they just said he needed to have his lung drained! A week before he left me on 11th February they finally came up with the cancer diagnosis, the cancer he’d had in his 40s had returned, but by then it was too late for them to do anything as he was so weak. He was only 63 and we’d been together nearly 44 years, married for almost 43. I have no time for the NHS now and think if they’d spotted it earlier how different my life would be now. Sorry to ramble on but sometimes I just need to speak out loud!!

@Galaxy75 . Not bad first half. Do you remember when rugby union used to be a slow game? That was manic.

Not too bad. My brother rang. He rings every couple of weeks to check on me. Rain this morning. Still humid but not quite as hot. Second half not started too good but RSA are very good and very BIG. Xx

Yeh really is similar to my husband ! By time spotted it it was too late !!! How can they miss a big thing like that … just dont get it !! Surely with their training they should be looking out for this ? Theyre just crap !! :frowning:

Hi @Deb5
I know when i was told cause of death on death certificate was cardicascular disease i asked pathologist what meant as he had been tested over the years and no heart problems.
I guess i will never know why it happened i only spoke with him in the morning 10 mins later he was gone. This house usef to hold such great memories now it is only the sad one that day i remember.
Dont know if i will ever be able to get over this but need to give myself some time to try before i made any final decisions.
Take care Lynne x
