Lost my wife of 29 years to cancer only 4 weeks ago, was her carer until she passed away at home in pain as the cancer went from her lungs to he brain and bones. When she passed l was listening to her breathing after she had just been given mophine injection when she slipped away, overcome with how frightened she must have been and that l was not holding her hand. Am functioning daily but stomach in knots that seem to be getting worse, started having a large glass of wine each night which is not me as into my fitness. Adult Daughters also suffering with health and chest pains.
What a cruel thing to say to someone who is bereaved. Obviously that person has never suffered the anguish of losing someone who was a massive part of their life.. I don’t want to be with people at New Year, my soul mate wasn’t keen on it either. Now he’s gone family expect me to spend it with them.. I ll just rain on their parade because of the way I m feeling.
