I have been writing some lyrics in my time away. At the moment it’s a sort of poem, but in time I hope to turn it into a song.
Someone here inspired me to write this. She knows about it and in fact came up with the title and suggested I post it here, so thank you young lady. 
Verse 1:
In your night of darkness, I will be there
In your day of tears, my shoulder to share
It may be long, it may be brief
It can only help us through the grief
Chorus:
When the storm is raging, I’ll stand by your side
Through the waves that crash, and the tears you can’t hide

When the silence whispers and you feel alone

The road may twist, and shadows may fall
But you don’t have to carry it all
