Hobbies and Interests

Hi

Yes we have to do what helps us.

I choose to swim and not sink

We are stronger than we think

Back in South Wales after spending a few days in Cambridge with Catherine.

My bungalow was a bit cold so I have put the heating on for a while. I must now read the Hive manual before Winter

Hi @Johnr
Hope you and Catherine aren’t too lonely and suffering the empty house. After being together for a few weeks.
I have a hive as well , if I get suck with it I just call my son. As he has one as well .

Yes it is empty and quiet although facetiming Cambridge at the moment

Can we call your son too for the hive :winking_face_with_tongue: only kidding I’ve got my manual out as only got the new boiler this summer so haven’t needed it.

Yes the loneliness kicks in but as soon as John left this morning I started a list of jobs in fact I’ve only just stopped due to John Face Timing me.

I’ve been to the tip and hoovered the whole house sorted through a ton of paperwork I’ve been putting off and writing birthday cards.

On my way back from the tip my car did an alert for coolant so that’s a job for tomorrow. I also need fuel.

I have a long list but getting through it.

Hi Catherine
It is good to keep busy
I do lists as well especially for Sunday as that is my hardest day .
I have a app on my phone for the hive
It is easy to use once it is installed

We both have the app, but so far have just been doing the occasional Boost. Must take a look how to schedule the heating. It won’t be complicated

Goodnight John and Catherine

It must be quite a drive between Cambridge and Wales, it’s a shame we are all not closer.

I hope you both sleep well tonight x

Next bug task will be attacking my Mole problem. I’ve tried various things such as Castor oil and ā€˜repellent’ oil, but all they do is make the mole(s) move round the garden. Just ordered some of those ultrasonic things, so we’ll see if they work.

I have mine set to a temperature so when it hit that it just comes on
Good luck with the mole problem

It is a bit of a stretch. I clocked 198 going but for some reason only 195 coming back.

Roads, mostly dual carriageways and motorways were remarkably clear today. Took me just over 3 hours including a stop for fuel.

That’s weekends traffic is better. As you know I hate driving with lorries on the motorway. Also it was better weather yesterday for your journey

Hi it is really quite now and sadly the loneliness has kicked in but I just need to keep busy and not dwell on it I guess

Back to normal ā€˜get up early’ mode and by that I mean 5 am

Mind I have a few things to do today, so hopefully it’ll make me tired.

Ocado delivery around 9.30 then I have to collect an Air Fryer from Argos. With training from Catherine I managed to get a £270 Air Fryer reduced to £191 by using discount codes and Nectar points. In the past I would have just bought from Amazon or John Lewis

Anyway, good morning

Yep me too wide awake club has returned. 3am tried going back drifted till 4 then gave up.

Have to get used to the four walls of loneliness again

I have to go to Halfords to sort coolant alert on car and then fill up.

When I get back I will carry on from yesterday with jobs to keep me occupied.

That’s the trouble with company after it ends you really noticed the empty house. Missing the adventures with @Johnr

Have a good day x

Hoping to get the washing hung out before it starts raining again.

Rain is holding off for the moment so washing is drying quite good.

Now I’m back I am going to go to my Zumba class later today which will be nice to see the gang again.

It’s funny how exercise is now a hobby if you had told me eighteen months ago I would have laughed at you.

As I resigned from my job at the end of September I need to find more hobbies/interests to keep my day filled. Hopefully something that does cost a lot to do.

Walking with @Johnr is a top one but I don’t like solo walking.

Of course my exercise classes are top too. But I need more ideas please

:hugs: to all
