How’s your Day Going Today?

Can’t stop crying this morning. I miss my husband so much. It’s 5 weeks since his funeral and I can’t see things ever being any different. We never asked for much, just to be together. Why is life so cruel?

I’m really sorry you are struggling so much.
Being tired is a massive trigger to being emotional and not being able to cope.
It’s a vicious circle and I liken it to a merry go round you can’t get off, but in fact we do get off.
Each working day you manage to get up and go to work, you manage that shower, you make your breakfast and lunch and dinner, you keep your house clean n tidy, in spring you will sort the garden. So many more small things you do during your day.
Sometimes you may laugh but not even notice.
You cry lots and feel desperate but you’re brave and push yourself. You are coping as best you can.
Your darling wife is so proud of you and helping you along this horrendous path that we are all treading on here.
Give yourself a pat on the back for getting through each day.
It’s a shame some of us don’t live nearer to each other because we would be such a great support.:heart_hands:

Those morning of overwhelming emotions are dreadful and it’s obviously so very raw for you.
I remember only too well what they are like and I still have those nearly one year on from John passing suddenly, but they do not happen every day or even weekly.
I made a pact with myself after around 4/5 months in saying I wouldn’t cry or pull my hair out after 9am, sounds absolutely ridiculous but it sort of worked.
I still have those mornings or days where it hits like an express train but I’m not sobbing uncontrollably anymore. I just feel intense sadness.
Sometimes it’s the thought of filling a day and making the most of life without John. Impossible to be honest.
Yesterday wasn’t the best due to being Johns birthday but I got through.
The next is the one year stage on March 6th and I will be inconsolable but I’m prepared to feel that and I will bolt the doors n close the curtains and try n remember our wonderful times and not ponder on those few minutes before he passed.
I hope as time ticks by it will get easier for you. All you can do is try but it’s the hardest thing you and all of us on here will ever do.:heart_hands:

So sorry for your loss. I understand that feeling of having to get through another day. I’m retired which is just as well as I don’t think I could cope with work. I lost my partner suddenly four and a half months ago and am devastated. I still don’t sleep well as I’m jolted awake by an adrenaline surge which makes me really anxious. I wish I could sleep late as the day would be shorter. It’s a horrible path we are all on and I really need some respite. I expect you do too. Hope you find some peace even for a while.

Morning everyone,

one forecast says there could be a couple of hours where the sun might been seen.
I certainly hope so.
Sending hugs to everybody.

It was my wife’s favourite colour. Up early today, I’ve had to buy a new tv and it’s being delivered today from 7am! As I’m up ready, it probably won’t come until this afternoon! Have as good a day as you can everyone.

Hope your tv comes soon. One thing to focus on for a while.

One of my tv’s has stopped working. I know I need to sort a new one. Keith always did those things.

Today I’m waiting for the plumber. Had a leak from bath into kitchen.

Hope he comes.

I suppose all this house maintenance is a distraction.

Take care and hope your day is the best it can be.

I know that horrible feeling too of trying to navigate another day. It is a short time for you. My mind was still foggy early on. Then reality strikes. It is 2 years for me. I am retired but sometimes wish I could work. Just need a purpose.

I see friends and family when they are not busy. Not having our soulmates around is so difficult.

I too even now keep waking up in the night I do go back to sleep but the Adrenalin rush comes in the morning and I feel anxious.

Keith had terminal cancer so I knew he only had a short time left

For you the suddenness of losing your soulmate must have been so

traumatic. Not able to say goodbye.

We are all on this grief road.

Hope your day has a bit of joy.

Take care. :hugs:
