A first grandchild, how absolutely lovely. Nothing like holding a new baby, so precious and your wife will be watching knowing this baby is going to give you such joy..
I had my second son on the 18th Dec and was determined to have our family Xmas Eve at my house for 18 of us. Never been so knackered in my life..!!!

Oh a baby due soon that is lovely, I have 9 grandchildren one is 22 the youngest 2.
My youngest was born 2 months after Rob passed away.
Cherish your new baby in the family they make life worth living and bring so much joy.

Thank you for your understanding, its been another tearful hard day.I took advantage of the decent weather and emptied my dear wifes containers of shrivelled Lobelia and geraniums, it really upset me as my wife loved her flowers and plants and her garden but i had to do it as the frost had shrivelled them.She always tidied her containers ready for the spring.She had even emptied them before she passed in february.As you say this new life is so hard.You are right we are still in survival mode, and as you say just getting up and going shopping is a victory.back to work tomorrow and even that has now lost its meaning and purpose, i always used to try and save a little for us to have a little break somewhere, now its just working to pay bills and get a little food.

Dia,thank you for your understanding.I am sorry for your loss.I keepmasking myself WHY?but i suppose we never will get an answer to that question.Its always the most loving, caring, kindest people taken from us.There must be a “Bigger Picture “ to this, maybe one day we will get all our questions answered.Take care.

Bitter sweet as my late wife knew about him but knew she would never see or hold him so the local hospice used some of my wifes clothes to make a teddy bear for him a way of not being forgotten my son thinks its great
