That’s good to know. I don’t know how to find good legitimate spiritualists and not scam artists. How do you know if they are legit before booking them?
Hi @Anita_66 I do believe these visions are real and are not made up in their heads. I just wish there was a way we could see the spiritual world all the time but I guess there’s a reason for that. Thanks for sending the video link, very interesting. Sounds like it’s very common

Google spiritual churches. SNU spiritulist national union. They are open to everyone like a church. They sometimes do an open circle which is a group of mediums who are still training They will then stand up and give you a message . There learning but I have found some amazing speakers there will be a group of people like yourself visiting
There are also a divine service with is a guest speaker who are trained and who will go around several churches. They will go and talk to do readings to the congregation given message if your lucky to be picked. As said its only a small donation and there often run by local people and you won’t be alone. There are good and not so good speakers but they are genuinely honest and don’t get paid . The best message and evidence i been given are in these churches. But its often luck if there is someone really talented and you will get a message. Its best to go not expecting too much. Even if you don’tget a message you can normally learn things and can still get comfort. Its all about the after life. Most churche salso offer training and healing to develop your own abilities .
If you find a church you like they normally have other events you can go to and get a one to one reading with someone you have already seen working .so you know if there good

That dream sounds surreal and the fact you’re able to remember it is great. I struggle to remember most of my dreams but I’ve not had any like that yet. I’ve had dreams (or maybe nightmares) of seeing her pass again and then coming back to life and then passing again. Which have been strange. I asked her how heaven was while she was passing and she said “wonderful”.
I’d love to hear about your daughter’s dream too. The more the better.
I do believe there is an afterlife but it feels like forever to get there

How were your positive readings? Did they say something they couldn’t have possibly have known? I always find those stories super interesting 
I’ve had several over the years. The best was my grandad came through. The spiritualist first was able to give me his surname then followed by evidence of his life. I was told when my grandmother died young his wife they wanted to take my mam off him to be adopted but he refused. Said he new he had to keep the family together. I never new this but my mam confirmed this. There was also other evidence about family members who had passed and things about there personality only you could know . To find out things about your family you didn’t know was quite amazing.
I don’t doubt at all about the after life but when my husband died I did question my faith as why ?
I read a lot about spirituality and experienced things working in palliative care for many years. The one thing i believe is we have a spiritual purpose in life and we choose our path in life before we are born, the things we want to experience and learn . The pain seeing my husband suffer i did question this. But I’ve never doubted the afterlife. Your loved ones are still with you and life is a journey x

Dear @Zara12 if we could see our loved ones in the afterlife all the time the suffering would be much much less! Even if we could speak to them just occasionally!

Anita, you are so right what you said.that is what i think all the time.I have read many books on spirit, Angels, the afterlife since my dear wife passed.It may sound strange but i have sort of become more spiritual since my dear wife passed.Maybe its looking for answers to the question i continually ask WHY?I dont think i will ever get a real answer but maybe that is all part of our reason for being on this earth, to learn and gain knowledge as well as love unconditionally our fellow human beings and the nature that surrounds us.I “talk “ to my wife all the time, but unfortunatly she never replies in a physical sense but occassionly a “sign “ will appear to me often very subtle or when i dont expect one.I even got one in breakfast news the other week!Sometimes the “signs “ can come unexpectedly and not always where we may think they will appear.I hope you are ok Anita.Take care.

Thanks @brummy I also talk to my husband all the time, sometimes I think I know what he would say, and sometimes I feel him close to me for a brief moment and when that happens first I feel great joy then great sadness. You too take care!

It just feels so harsh that if we are from heaven and we come to earth to learn and have forgotten what heaven was like and then go back to it and we’re altogether again, then why can’t we see it? Is it to stop people from ending their earth lives early? Okay maybe don’t let us see but let us remember when we were in heaven at least. I just don’t understand why it needs to be this brutal. Birth and death are the most natural and common things among human, yet they both are treated so differently for obvious reasons. But why give birth if the end is going to be the same as everyone else? Nothing makes sense to me anymore

Zara, i dont know if what some of the books i read our correct i suppose no one really does but some say we choose to come back to have an earthly life, to learn more or maybe our time on earth we didnt learn enough so chose to return to learn more.some books say we reincarnate many times , others say we can stay in heaven but on certain “levels” from the lower level if we were not a nice person, hurt others etc or to a higher level if we were a kind loving caring person.It seems from many books we have a “life review “ when we get to the other side not in a horrible judgemental way but a loving way, to sort of see where we went wrong , how our actions impacted on other people, in that way we feel as those people did.all this is in a loving way in no way judgmental. I am still looking for answers to be honest but i think there must be a “bigger picture “ to our life on earth.I hope some of this can make sense?Take care.

Couldn’t explain better myself. Its still doesn’t make grief or life any easier at times..but I do believe in most of what you’ve wrote.
On the other hand some answers I won’t know until I cross over so until then I’m just trying to make the most out of life and not become bitter or resentful. I do believe that’s still our choice and maybe its what we need to learn .

Lyn, its so true what you said.I have read so many books lately to try and find comfort and some answers but as you say it doesnt make grief or life any easier at times.I find its such a rollercoaster, sometimes i feel like i have managed to get through the day in a bearable way but then suddenly it will hit me again, even small things can set me off.I often think we will not have many answers to our questions, my biggest is WHY? until we make our journey to the other side, maybe that is all part of our earthly life to try meeting the challenges that we have to face?Death being the most challenging of all, but its something one day we will all have to face.I think you are right its still our choice, all part of free will.Take care.

Zara, please let us know how you get on.As Lynn says please try not to be disappointed if you hear nothing.I am sure your mum is with you, sometimes for various reasons they cannot always get through.Sometimes people hear from someone they never expected to like a long passed relative or friend.I have read many books on the subject .Is it a guest medium or a circle?A spiritualist church in town has guest mediums and circles too.My fingers are crossed for you.Take care.

Hi @brummy & @Hope23 thanks for your messages. I did go there with zero expectations. It was a spiritual church and the medium was doing random readings across the room. She mentioned my great grandfather on my dad’s side coming through who I don’t know. And my grandmother on my mums side, she said some generic stuff that could resonate with anyone, like she’s saying keep smiling and chin up etc. I was never close with my grandmother anyways. She said something specific which didn’t resonate with me about travelling to Paris, Florence and Portugal and that it’s more than just a short trip and that I shouldn’t worry about what others saying. It didn’t really make sense to me. But I’ve noted it down incase it is relevant in the future. I’m not put off readings but don’t think that one was for me. When she started doing readings for people I felt they were agreeing with her so I thought she’d be good but when she did me I was also agreeing out of obligation it felt eventhough I didn’t relate. So perhaps I did it wrong. Will try again though

Sounds a little confusing. In my experience the better mediums just give you evidence of your loved ones and after life rather than predictions of your future like travelling
I would recommend you keep trying you will know what to expect now. I agree its sometimes hard to say you can’t take the Information there given you especially when people are watching. I’ve also experienced someone taking a message which I thought it was for me . Some people are naturally desperate to get something. Its good to keep an open mind
Hopefully you will get the reading when you’re in no doubt at all. .Frustrating as it sounds its often when you’re least expecting it .but I can still get comfort from other people reading and learn things.

I also went to a spiritualist church last night, I didn’t go expecting a reading because it’s only been 3 months since I lost tony, but I did feel a lovely sense of calm it’s the best I’ve felt since I lost him, I think I will go back just for the lovely sense of love and compassion I felt, I hope it doesn’t put you off going again
