Still Struggling

I’ve been doing the Myeloma group sessions since August. But every Myeloma patient is different so you can’t read too much into it. It’s a very much personal journey we are on and a lot of things come into the fold. Maybe the chemo for your sister is extra protection as there’s no guarantee with Cancer, even for me too. Hence whilst the hospital is keen on me having the Stem Cell Transplant. I am currently - 1on the Myeloma Cells. The hospital seem pleased with my progress, but it’s been a journey. As a new year isn’t that far away we all need to hope for the best.

@ at everyone

I would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas and all the best for 2025. Mag and Malcolm thanks for making me feel welcome here as some as my post on other threads have gone ignored. But you guys have always found the time to reply to my post and that means something to me.

Some friends have mentioned going for a drink tomorrow mags, wether that happens I don’t know as of yet. I’m slightly behind on my schedule at the moment. I done all the shopping, so that’s done.

My sisters oncologist said because her type of cancer is so rare they have a “recipe book” to follow and the last part of the recipe is to kill of any tiny cells that might be left behind. I think you would benefit from going to other things at Maggie’s, not just the myeloma group, things like art therapy would be a good way for you to relax, you might enjoy it!
Going out for drink would be good for you, just take masks as it will be really busy, if it doesn’t happen, go to Maggie’s for a cup of tea.
Merry Christmas, please don’t wallow, it’s a time to reset and think about the things you would like to do in the New Year. We’ve lost our loved ones, they may have left us behind but they want us to make the best of what time we have!

A Merry Christmas to you too Keith. I hope 2025 is a good one for you and that your health will be good. It would be nice if you can go out for a drink, it would lift your spirits. Try and fit that in, I’m sure you will enjoy it. I agree with what Malcolm has said. We need to make the most of life and live how our parents would have wanted. X

Merry Christmas everyone, hope next year brings plenty of happiness & health
Thanks for welcoming me in the chats, let’s all think positive and achieve our goals.
It’s always going to be tinged with sadness especially at Christmas, my brother who died this year had 3 children and it amazes me how strong they are being, we’ve all got the memories they never grow old

Sorry for your loss!

Went for that Christmas drink but glad to be home. Pubs very noisy and I’ve always been a chilled person. Bit of chilled 70s disco is in order for now.

Think like most I’m not feeling it, even Christmas music was grating on me.

I was more of a clubber then a pub person, I grew up with music, it’s my roots. The dark atmosphere the lights and people enjoying the music. I would love to go back to the days of disco, maybe I watched Saturday Night Fever too many times. ? but boy meets girl and it’s all innocent I grew up with John Travolta anyway and Saturday Night Fever is legendary.

Thinking of you xx

I’ve been enjoying my Top of the Pops from the 80s as ever. 1984!

Happy Christmas everyone :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Merry Christmas to you all xx

Merry Christmas everyone
