Things getting worse rather than better

Monsoon season, every day 2 storms or more, my garden is happy, we had such a dry weather for months that our lakes went so low. The lakes I’ve posted lately used to be full of water. I hope that this helps.

its not hot here, about 29 i think later,no breeze i slept quite well after sitting out till 11.00,but i feel flat as a pancake today,i really do wonder if the continual heat is taking its toll, not used to it. x

I think that you are right about the heat. I suppose for those like ourselves who already struggle to find the motivation to cope with every single day it is probably harder still. My middle son is visiting me today, hope he likes salad !

Be kind to yourself is what those who understand keep saying to me :hugs:

yes,and dont expect overnight miracles,i cant grasp when my “guru”friend says “early days”….22 months may seem like yesteray, but i did expect to be slightly less painfree,or for it not to return big time when i was going gently through life…or thought i was! as the “guru”says, the brain is a very complex powerful machine. enjoy lunch. x

My daughter was driving on the motorway when she received the alarm. Frightened the life out of her.

We had a devastating wildfire up here (Cairngorms).

It’s truly terrifying.

a few days of big thinking, not spoken to my son yet,but have off loaded to my 3 “closest”friends. i shall see my family on the 3rs sept for a few days, this will be 23 months alone, time to talk”my future” i did say “give it 2 years” and as i wrote on here a couple of months ago i certainly wasnt thinking about moving near family,i was a happy here,garden/birds/tranquility, but something has “clicked” im not happy, and now all of a sudden i long to downsize/move to be close to them. but i have to wait till “deputyship” happens on taking over my 96 year old mothers affairs(i didnt have power of attorney) limbo land, all bit “balls in the air” but i honestly do feel “ready to move” somebody on here said it would “just happen, least expected”. this seems to be it,but its all very “if/but/maybe” especiall y as my family know nothing about about it…they are in Quiberon,as you can guess i just need to throw ideas before i see family,my friends here( x 3) who know are very supportive(some tears) and already checking hotels nearby!! ive not had valuation on my house ,its all down to”situation”with mother/legal stuff. anybody got an advice,am i going in right/wrong direction?

@manb That is a big decision, but it seems to be happening organically, the time has come. Good luck w/ the process! Keep us updated Cindy :pink_heart:

It sounds like you’ve given it a lot of thought ..but friends are important and sometime more available than friends .

But its a long process so it won’t happen overnight …hope you are ok ? X

yup, lots of thought over a short period of time, i need to gather lots more info/speak to my family. my “real”friends, those who i have chatted with are all very supportive,in a s much will come visit, have me down here in cornwall to stay. i think they knew it would be on the cards one day,as i did,but i wasnt ready,i think iam now,its not a daunting process in my head which it was before,i buried my head in the sand, its “easy option” staying here, and thought oh well, family will sort me out, they hav e power of attorney, but maybe i want to b e involved.make choices whilst i can, before i get any health /mobility probs. my joints are not good,im slowing up,need analgesia.im hoping myideas will make life easier for my family too, yes, lots to think about/talk about, my D.I.L. did say that my son would like me up there, not so he can see me daily,so its easier for the future. i get that. iam thinking about “assisted living” where ihave my independant appartment and the community environment as and when required, otherwise i may as well stay here where i know people than move and live alone. portishead has a few of these community places, hence my interest. the power of the internet,i have got lots of info over the last week….getting all my ducks in a row, this will be a 2027 project of course,as you said it all takes time.,and luckily my life doesnt depend on it. x

@manb Good for you! I’ve been “down sizing” my possessions for years, but can make no decision about moving. Hoping not to have to, though I am rattling around in my house, I cannot leave the garden. I wish you luck in the next year w/ your move. Cindy :pink_heart:

Today I got a phone call from a family friend (friend of my late parents) who rang to say “hello, I know your husband died.” For the record my husband died of sudden cardiac arrest aged 60. This woman is 85 and her husband still lives. Anyway, she goes on to tell me how “God has a perfect plan for you, that is why he took your husband like that, God never puts more on you than you can bear, you are privileged to go through such suffering as it will draw you close to God” and I don’t remember the rest. I hung up on her, fell on the floor crying and sobbing in shock. Why are people so :face_with_symbols_on_mouth: :face_with_symbols_on_mouth: :face_with_symbols_on_mouth: evil? What do they get from making someone in grief feel even worse??? And why do they have to use God to shove their :poop: down other people’s throats!! Am furious!!!
